12-06-2010 07:44 PM · Post: #1 Vietnam, Vietnam, Vietnam and Hueys, We Like Those Too
Battlefield Bad Company 2 Vietnam is ALMOST here, set as December 21st as its release date. So, let's start this preview up with multiple trailers and a wonderful review:

If you have not seen this one yet, it was one of the first Vietnam trailers to release (if not the first)

This video is when EA finally decided to price it, showing new gameplay and such.

This video has the USA fighting for Vietcong hill (Hill 137), Flamethrower action and all types of fun

Interview video:

Achievements/ trophies listed below:
Can I Go Home Now? - 15G - Achieve a team victory on all Vietnam levels
Every Gun has a Silver Lining - 35G - Get silver stars on all primary Vietnam weapons - (Veteran weapons not included)
Ecstasy of Gold - 50G - Get gold stars on all primary Vietnam weapons (Veteran weapons not included)
Doing the Rounds - 15G - Get a kill with all Vietnam vehicles
Cantankerous Chauffeur - 25G - Get 100 kills with Vietnam tanks
Ride of the Valkyrie - 25G - Get 50 kills with the helicopter
Would you Kindly STFU? - 10G - Destroy a Hannoi Hannah propaganda speaker
Great Balls of Fire - 10G - Get 20 kills with the flamethrower
Just Because I Can - 25G - Finish 1st on the scoreboard on any Vietnam level
Secret Achievement

Apparently, all the trophies are bronze, odd huh?

There are fifteen new weapons in BC2 Vietnam that extend to all four classes. Assault, Engineer, Medic and Recon all get a variety of new guns and gadgets to become acquainted with includes the flamethrower and XM22, along with TNT for the Recon class and the M79 'Blooper' grenade launcher. There's also entirely new voiceovers and a soundtrack blasting through BC2 Vietnam's six vehicles' radios consisting of 49 tunes such as “Ride of the Valkyries” (essential for any helicopter assault) and “Fortunate Son” by Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam looks to follow the same trend as Red Dead Redemption's Undead Nightmare in providing premium DLC that adds something completely new and different to the game. DICE seems to have got the vibe with its upcoming add-on. Rush mode is as enjoyable and instantly gratifying as always, and with new achievements/trophies to complement the array of new content on offer, there's every reason to sign up and go to war all over again.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam is scheduled for December 21 release on the Xbox Live Marketplace and Playstation Network for 1200 Microsoft Points/ $15.

The choice is your's, 1200 MSP ($15) for 4 new maps, 15 new guns, 6 new vehicles, and new gameplay

or

1200 MSP ($15) for a map pack with 2 throwback maps (You know what I'm talking about)

I'd appreciate it if Dice stopped wasting their time with this Bad Company horse shit and focused on the real Battlefeild series.

I totally agree with angus on this, plus I find it amazed to see vietnam again since they already made a Battlefield Vietnam a few years back. Oh Battlefield, look how much you changed. I can still remember 1942 like it was yesterday.

Damn biow, I agree. All I have to say is this, besides Battlefield 2, Battlefield Vietnam was the best in the franchise (in my opinion). I'm just hoping that this DLC can add to Battlefield's greatness.
