Upgrade - Review (2018)

The Good
Logan Marshall-Green's badass performance.  His character gets development

Leigh Whannell's Direction

The Badass action scenes and violent scenes.

The Production budget is small but doesn't feel cheap or look bad with the special effects.

The Dark humor when Stem takes over his body violently hurting people and Grey's face is in horror.

The Bad
The Twist is kind of predictable.

The other characters are not fleshed out much and their kinda meh like the main cop you don't know anything about her and the villains are just generic bad guys with cool upgrade parts which can make the film kinda boring if you only care about 1 character cause even his wife doesn't get developed.

Overall: What a surprise for movie that looked eh in trailers turned out to be really good and finally a good Blumhouse movie this year.

Overall Grade: B

Uncle Drew - Review (2018)

The Good
Lil Rel Howery's performance he really was the only one other than Uncle Drew was wasn't over the top.

Kyrie Irving's Performance as Uncle Drew somehow made a stupid commercial and made it somewhat work as a movie.

The other performances
Shaquille O'Neal (which if you can make Shaq a actual positive in a movie then you succeeded  )
Chris Webber
Reggie Miller
Nate Robinson
Lisa Leslie
Erica Ash

There's actually heart to this movie.

The Basketball games are fun.

The Journey finding Drew's friends is funny.

The Bad
Charles Stone III's formulaic direction

Jay Longino meh screenplay

The Predictable Plot

Nick Kroll and Tiffany Haddish are basically cartoon characters and they were annoying every time they talked or made noises

Overall: This was a alright movie that was made from a dumb commercial.

Overall Grade: C+

Halloween - Review (1978)

There's really nothing to say its a perfect Masterpiece of Horror Cinema that still holds up today and scarier than a lot of horror films today.

Directed by one of the Horror Masters John Carpenter who perfected the Slasher Film.

Nick Castle who plays Michael Myers, The Bogeymen, The Shape is such a force of nature where he just shows up in the background and quickly disappears makes it even scarier cause its basically home invading which makes it realistic.

Donald Pleasance is great at trying to chase the Shape

Then Unknown Actress Jamie Lee Curtis is fantastic as Final Girl Laurie Strode.

The Opening Scene is fantastic when its first person view and then the reveal of Michael being just a boy .

Carpenter's fantastic Score.

The Lack of Blood and Gore and Graphic Violence makes the film even better.

The Choice of Camera Angles.

The Ending where it just leaves with Myers heavy Breathing implying he could be anywhere which makes it terrifying watching alone

Overall: One of the most perfect horror films ever and my personal favorite horror film.

Overall Grade: A+

so far all the Die Hard movies seem pretty good, they only screwed up on the 5th one.

5th one the director didn't even know what Die Hard was and Bruce Willis didn't even care anymore

Really hope he cares in Glass

He started just taking pay checks

The last time I see Bruce actually care was in 2012 with Moonrise Kingdom and Looper

Ever since then he has not care

A Good Day to Die Hard was pile of crap

Then he started doing terrible straight to DVD movies and then this year with Death Wish remake that was horrible

Mission: Impossible - Fallout - Review (2018)

The Good
Tom Cruise once again is fantastic as Ethan Hunt, he just keeps getting better and better in these films and his stunt work is masterful.

Christopher McQuarrie who directed Rouge Nation is back which is a first in the franchise and now he has topped Rouge Nation with Fallout being his best work yet. He also wrote the screenplay like Rouge Nation and he has made a very compelling story which once again makes you want to pay attention to the story and its not just a dumb mindless action film its much more than that.

Henry Cavill gives his best performance yet as August Walker he is just a bad ass and he's in it more than I thought which is a positive.

Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg are back as Luther Stickell and Benjamin "Benji" Dunn respectfully who bring some of the movies humor and their great as always.

Rebecca Ferguson is back as Ilsa and she's just as badass as she was in Rouge Nation.

Sean Harris is back as Solomon Lane and he's fantastic

Angela Bassett is a great addition to the series as Erica Sloane.

Alec Baldwin is back as Alan Hunley and he is great and he gets to do more.

Vanessa Kirby is badass as White Widow.

Michelle Monaghan is back as Hunt's Wife and she is also good.

The relentless action scenes from really all 3 acts of the film that don't really a moment of rest besides maybe a bit in the middle to give us more exposition, but other than its amazing especially the Bathroom Scene is beautiful and the France Car Chase sequence which is one of the best ever and theres also a Tom Cruise of Tom Cruise running scenes which is the best I ever seen

There are so many twist and turns in this film.

The opening sequence tops Rouge Nations which shocked me.

This has the best villains in the series since III

Lorne Balfe's amazing Score

The Humor works once again with it being just natural and fluid like real humor should be not forced humor like some action movies today Cough Skyscraper Cough.

The Bad
I wanted it to be longer lol

This is a nitpick but they could of maybe explained where Jeremy Renner's Character was.

Overall: This is the 6th Movie in a 22 year old franchise still kicking stronger than ever and this being the best one yet is Insane and its definitely the best action film since Mad Max: Fury Road.

Overall Grade: A+

Halloween II (1981) - Review

The Good
Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Pleasance are back as their respected characters and they still a serviceable job

It at least killed Michael Myers (sadly that doesnt last king in sequels)

It at least captures the spirit of the first film.

The Hospital setting is nice even though where is all the doctors and nurses or security.

The Bad
John Carpenter not in the directors chair and this time its Rick Rosenthal.

Nick Castle is not back as The Shape (Michael Myers) and you can tell

More Blood and Gore and Nudity which just makes it another slasher movie.

Plot Holes and the Dumb Twist that made Michael Myers and Laurie Strode brother and sister which takes away the mystery of The Shape its like the director saw Empire Strikes Back and said that's a good idea I'll do that.

The Uneven Pace.

Overall: Its a OK Slasher Movie just no where near as good as its predecessor.

Overall Grade: C

You forgot about the TV series Moonlighting, without that he wouldn't have got the Die Hard gig.

Halloween III: Season Of The Witch - Review (1982)

The Good
Tommy Lee Wallace Direction and Screenplay

The insane plot  and that's its own story that's like an Anthology

Tom Atkin's performance

John Carpenter's Creepy Score.

The crazy violence with the Halloween Mask

The Bad
Calling it Halloween it should of just been Season of the Witch.

The cliffhanger ending that we will never see a continuation too.

It can be way to violent for some viewers.

Overall: While at the time when I first saw it I hated, but now over time its a better Halloween film then most of its Sequel and Remakes

Overall Grade: B

Halloween 4: The Return Of Michael Myers

The Good
Danielle Harris is good as Jamie

Donald Pleasance  is fine as Loomis.

Its better paced than Halloween II

The Then Twist Ending was affective and teased for something cool (Sadly it didn't)

The Bad
Its in its own wires universe where Laurie Strode died but had a daughter.

Loomis and Michael Myers somehow survived the Hospital explosion without any real burn scars or explanation and Michael was shot in both eyes (and sees fine) and burned alive but his explanation he was in a Coma for 10 years.

Michael Myers Mask......... WHAT THE FUCK

Michael has super human strength like showing a Shotgun through a wall impaling someone.

Overall: Its a fine Halloween Film that's a easy watch even though its stupid.

Overall Grade: C

Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers - Review (1989)

The Good
Danielle Harris is fine

There's a cool scene in the Barn at least

At least the mask is right.

The Bad
The cool ending from the last film is not even fully realised it just ignores and goes back to Michael just killing people and hunting Jamie again oh and he had another coma from the last film and wakes up a year later on October 30th ........ yeah.

It was rushed

The characters from the last film get killed off easily and its just lazy.

This started The Thorn storyline .......
Michael kills a kid

The Myers house is not the same house???

Overall: Halloween 4 was the some what right step in a new direction and Halloween 5 erases that...... but as Yoda says There is another and oh man is it bad.

Overall Grade: D-

Halloween: The Curse Of Michael Myers - Review ( 1995)

The Good
NOTHING this film is trash

The Bad
Oh man where do I start there's 2 versions of this movie the Theater version and the Producers Cut and their both equally bad.

Did you ever wonder why Michael kills maybe its cause he's a force of nature and its just what he does, well according to this movie it'd because of Satanic Black Magic its almost as bad as sending him to space.

JC Brandy is Jamie Lloyd this time and well in the Theater version she dies in a horrible way (after giving birth to baby at 15 by the way) when Michael impales her on a corn thresher and turning it on, disemboweling her in the Producers cut she survives only to be shot in the head, but wait her baby that she has in the film is explained in the Producer cut that the father was her Uncle Michael Myers that the Cult somehow got a seed of him and put it into his neice..... Jesus Chris I hate this movie

Paul Rudd is sadly in this film thankfully his career got better after this.

Donald Pleasance is also back who kinda phones it in now and sadly he died after this movie..... god damn this movie.

The over the top death scenes which makes this film like a cartoon.

The Ending there's 2 of them: The Theater version has Michael hunting the main people and butchering everyone in very gory fashion and in the end battle Rudd stabs Myers with some wietd yellow ooze thing and beats the crap out of him with a Lead Pipe with end shot is the mask and you head Loomis screaming and that's it. The other ending is with the cult and has Loomis with the Thorn on his hand and Michael going in the distance its weird.

Overall: This is what killed Halloween until 3 years later when they finally got Jamie Lee Curtis back, but this movie is horrible.

Overall Grade: Fuck You

Halloween H20: 20 Years Later - Review (1998)

The Good
Jamie Lee Curtis is back and she's great

It has a decent cast that has now big and decent stars Michelle Williams, Josh Hartnett, LL Cool J, Joseph Gordon-Levitt

It ignores the weird Thorn Trilogy Thank God and picks up after II even though no explanation of Michael still seeing with both eyes being shot.

Jamie Lee Curtis sharing scenes with Janet Leigh her late mother.

Laurie vs Michael is great

The ending final shot is great...... until they made another....... ugh

John Ottman's Score

The Bad
John Carpenter not directing and he was supposed to but Dimension Films didn't wanna pay him and pretty sure he wanted to kill Michael for good......... of man and was replaced by Steve Miner

It feels like a Scream movie which is only why we have H20.

Oh man the CGI Mask why was it CGI lol.

Overall: The Best of any of the sequels so far, but still no where close at being as good as the Original.

Overall Grade: B-

Halloween: Resurrection- Review (2002)

The Good
Absolutely Nothing

The Bad
The great ending from H20 is ruined cause turned out the person Laurie killed by chopping his head off was not Michael it was a paramedic who Michael swapped and choked him so he can't talk...... oh boy was this so FUCKING STUPID.

The Director from Halloween II returns and he does a piss poor job at directing this pile of shit.

Jamie Lee Curtis is wasted and killed off in the beginning by making her character into a complete idiot.

Michael finally gives his mask and knife to someone looking like a end? But nope because he foes back home and starts killing people on Reality TV....... and people are watching him kill people like Jesus christ.

The characters are dumb, THIS WHOLE MOVIE IS DUMB

Busta Rhymes doing ninja moves.

Poor Katee Sackhoff is in this

Tyra Banks is in this lol.

There's a underground cave with gates and spikes underneath the Myers house.....

The ending when you think finally Myers is dead... NOPE..but this movie was a failure and that's a good thing.

Overall: There's nothing to say movie is complete ass

Overall Grade: Fuck You
