Captain Marvel Review.

Pros:

-Samuel L. Jackson was great and was more of main character in this movie.

-The last quarter of the movie was actually watchable and entertaining.

-The end cut scene is exciting. I would say it was more exciting than the entire film.

-Skrulls plot twist

Cons:

-Fury losing his eye to a cat.

-Fury losing his eye to a damn cat.

-Fury trusting a cat and loses his eye over it.

-Fury looses his eye over a fucking cat! Seriously, that was the dumbest thing I've seen in the MCU. I understamd the cat is a flerkin or whatever, but you're telling me a cat took a little swipe at his eye and it did all that? Just stupid.

- The stupid amd obvious feminist bullshit that was littered throughout the film. It didn't need it, and seems like it was thrown in there just for feminst around the world could have their "koom-by-ya" moment. "You know why they call it the COCKpit?" Really?

-Brie Larson acting was bland. If you take away all the 90's nostalgia and her being a badass superhero, there is really nothing that she brought to the table. I think several female actors could of did a better job.

-You could of slept through the 2nd and 3rd acts and nothing of value would be lost. Through much of this movie you can't help but to say "Get on with it".

Conclusion:

Very bland Marvel film, dont let the controversy around Brie and the fake reviews take away from that fact. This is a bottom 5 Marvel film in the current MCU. Antman and the Wasp is better.

Oh that.  I need to go to the RT review page to see if this is legit or PS by the film's detractors.

I think its to make the audience score for up because there's no reason to review bomb by the actual dumb sexist people

But anyway the real score from Cinemasxore gave the Film an "A" which means Most moviegoers enjoyed it

Its already a success making nearly $500 Million and gonna have an easy week next week

I'm gonna lol if people gonna review Bomb Avengers: Endgame since she's in it

I don't believe any of the official reviews like Rotten Tomatoes or CinemaScore because they will clearly alter scores to appease either side of the controversy. I listen to unbiased Youtube movie reviewers and real people, and the concensus including mine is the movie is not that bad, but not that good either. Certainly not an "A" when the movie isnt even as good as its DC counterpart "Wonder Woman which got an "A" also. CinemaScore are the same people who gave Justice League and Suicide Squad "B+'s" when everybody knows in the comics world knows those movies were not great. Can't trust em.

I don't think the second week is gonna fair too well for Ms. Marvel with all these mixed opinions. I don't think she is gonna make the same mistake nect month bevause she could easily be written out of the MCU after Endgame. They could just say after defeated Thanos she flew off to save some more skrulls for another 50 years and never get another movie lol . Brie better be careful with her words from now on.

My Hero Academia: Two Heroes (2018)

The Good
Deku is of course great as well as All Might

All the other characters are great as usual of course.

The Animation

The Action is fantastic as always in My Hero Academia.

The Flashbacks with younger  All Might were great I wished there was a lot of them especially the  opening.

David and Melissa are nice new characters.

The subtle hints for Season 3 (even though I have already seen it.)

The Final Fight is amazing.

The Bad
There's no real stakes since no one major really dies or gets hurt since this is before Season 3, it just feels like one long episode that feels like Filler.

A lot of like small S1 and S2 recaps I guess for people who haven't seen them, but like why are you watching this if haven't seen them lol.

There's really no character development since a lot the development happens in Season 3, especially with Bakugō becoming a better character in this he's just the same angry character he is in the first 2 Seasons.

The Villain isn't that interesting.

Overall: While not as Amazing as it should of been its still really good that you can now watch between S2 and S3.

Overall Grade: B+

A Dog's Way Home - Review (2019)

The Good
Bryce Dallas Howard as the voice of Bella which all the dog's they use all insanely adorable.

The Human cast is really good from Jonah Hauer-King, Ashley Judd (Haven't seen her in a long time), Edward James Olmos, and Alexandra Shipp.

Its still a feel good movie with a really emotional ending.

Even though The Bobcat is Bad CGI it with Bella is adorable even though its not real.

The Bad
The Really bad CGI at times

It gets really bleak in the film and really depressing like this is a kid's movie for heavens sake

They spoiled they ending in the commercials (Fuck You Sony)

The Tone is all over the place.

Final Thoughts: Its a adorable but all over the place film still watchable.

Overall Grade: C+

Us - Review (2019)

The Good
Jordan Peele's fantastic direction proves he's not a one trick pony delivering another awesome horror film also his screenplay really delivers again (hopefully he gets another Oscar Nomination for this film)

The Performances are all great, firstly Lupita Nyong'o who deserves a Oscar Nomination for her performance she's fucking awesome.

Winston Duke brings out the really good humor of the film

Shahadi Wright Joseph and Evan Alex are also really good

The main cast do a really great job in the film cause their acting Twice since they also play their other versions.

Elisabeth Moss is really good but I would of liked more of her since she's an amazing actress.

Its editing and paces very well.

The Brutal Kills.

Mike Gioulakis's phenominal Cinematography.

Michael Abels's score is amazing only being his 2nd score he's done after Get Out (also deserves a Oscar Nomination)

The Humor works when its needed.

The final act just like Get Out is complete bonkers insane and the ending my god.

I still have questions after watching this I think I understand, but I need to understand it more.

There's a lot of ways you can view this movie, there's just so much questions it explores.

The Bad
Nothing I didn't have any problems

Final Thoughts: This is how you do a Psychological Horror Thriller, Jordan Peele is just a insane genius and I can't wait to see what he does for his 3rd film.

Overall Grade: A+

The Dirt - Review (2019)

The Good
Motley Crue's music is always good

Machine Gun Kelly isn't as horrible as he was in Bird Box he actually tries a bit which was surprising.

The Bad
The 4 main leads just feel their in cosplay and mostly the acting is terrible that feels like their 1st time acting.

Also the awful Lip Syncing that was just a bad in Bohemian Rhapsody.

Jeff Tremaine's Meh Direction (hes not even a fan of the band)

It GETS ALOT wrong like
-; Tommy Lee’s First Encounter With Nikki Sixx Is a Bit Off

- It Erases Their Original Lead Singer From History

- They Didn’t Meet Vince Neil at a Backyard Party

- Tom Zutaut Didn’t Sign Them That Easily

- Doc McGhee Didn’t Meet The Band At Their Apartment

- Vince Neil Didn’t Have Sex With Tom Zutaut’s Girlfriend Backstage at The Forum

- Tommy Didn’t Meet Heather Locklear The Night of Vince’s Car Accident

- John Corabi Has The Ability to Speak

- Securing The Rights to Their Publishing Was Much More Difficult Than Portrayed

- They Didn’t Fire Doc McGhee Over An Incident With Nikki’s Estranged Mother

- Mick Mars Didn’t Get Hip Replacement Surgery Until 2004

- The Reunion With Vince Neil Was Much, Much More Complicated

- The Whole Pamela Anderson Thing Happened

- The Nine Years Between 1996 And 2005 Isn’t Some Amorphous Blob of Time

The Women characters are treated like their trash like they actually show a woman squirting like what..... and feels like their objects.

For a R Rated Movie it really makes sure to make the band not look as worse as they are.

The Editing oh my god its awful

Final Thoughts: I would of rather seen a Documentary on Motley Crue that they have to Mention EVERYTHING and not Half Ass it.

Overall Grade: F+

Dumbo - Review (2019)

The Good
Dumbo is adorable even if it is CGI.

Eva Green is fantastic as well as Danny DeVito

It does expand on the animated film

The Ending is fantastic and better than the animated version

The nice cameos

Fantastic Visual Effects

The Bad
Tim Burton's direction is very sloppy as he rushes through certain important scenes

Collin Farrell is pretty much a generic character

Michael Keaton is cringe worthy bad (and that's really bad cause he's usually always good).

Nico Parker is really wooden.

Ehren Kruger (Writer of the first three Transformer) delivers a really uneven script which I'm not even shocked the Transformers films scripts are terrible besides Bumblebee.

The Pink Elephants Scene Is Massively Disappointing........ which is the best scene in the Animated Movie.

The Anti-Corporation Message is dull ans tone deaf.

Final Thoughts: Its a OK movie its not amazing as the animation and sadly Tim Burton should probably never touch a Disney movie again I don't think we will ever get that amazing director back.

Overall Grade: C

Here's my review of Dumbo (2019)  -

Well Disney have ruined another old classic with this freak of a movie! The 2019 Dumbo remake of a 1941 Disney classic has no heart or soul in it whatsoever. When you spend more time on the side characters than Dumbo himself, you're making a big mistake and it doesn't help these other characters are so one-note and stereotypical that we don't end up caring about them at all. The characters from the 1941 original? Some are in there (The Crows didn't make it in I wonder why?), but only as like "Hey remember me from the original?" and there are little variations of scenes like the famous "Pink Elephants on Parade" just so you can be reminded why the original was better in every single way. Good job Disney!

So many things crossed my mind while watching this mess of a movie. Why does the circus look so goddamn dark and lifeless? Why is Timothy the Mouse replaced with two bland kids who have some of the worst acting ever? What is the point of Colin Farrell's character having only one arm and never using it for any purpose in the story? Why is the Dumbo stuff all rushed and him and his mother gets less screentime than anyone else? Why did they mess up the tearjerking Baby Mine sequence? Why does the CGI look so unconvincing on the animals? Why does Tim Burton completely derail the second half of the movie with such bullcrap and have Michael Keaton play a terrible villain?

Does this new Dumbo movie do anything good? I suppose you could argue it's at least not a shot-for-shot remake of a Disney remake like Beauty and the Beast was and there are drastic changes to the story, but at what cost? There's a few little cutesy moments with Dumbo here and there, but it's all just dragged down with such mediocrity and lack of heart and emotion. Most of this Dumbo movie feels insincere, and the original 1941 Disney classic still gets me close to tears every time I watch it. Another problem with this remake is it's too bloody long! The 1941 original Dumbo was barely over an hour long, but this felt like an eternity! The pacing of the movie was all over the place. Disney have failed thinking this would replace the original, and there's still more of this to come!

4.5/10

I wouldn't say they ruined another one

Cause Cinderella is great, The Jungle Book is fantastic ans is better than the animation and Beauty and the Beast not as great as the animation but still really good I mean year its shot by shot but I didn't really want anything changed cause then you get a shitty Maleficent

And sadly were getting a sequel to that.........

Justice League vs. The Fatal Five - Movie Review

Positives

  • The story overall was pretty solid.  Surely, the DCAU has had some way better stories but this one wasn't so bad.
  • The animation, character design, and character models were superb.
  • The voice acting was top notch.  You have Kevin Conroy, George Newbern, and Susan Eisenberg reprising their roles as Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.
  • The new characters, Jessica Cruz, Miss Martian, and Star Lord are very interesting and compelling.
  • The Fatal Five are absolutely awesome and badass villains.
  • The action and fight sequences are awesome.

Negatives:

  • The weakest part of the film was the story.  Once again, it was solid overall it just felt like the weakest part of the film.

Overall: This is how you make a Justice League movie with a good story, great main characters, awesome villains, and awesome action scenes.

Grade: A+

Shazam! - Review (2019)

The Good
Zachary Levi kills it as Shazam, Levi gives a really charismatic performance.

David F. Sandberg's fantastic direction out of Lights Out and Annabelle: Creation this is is the best thing he has done so far and was the perfect choice to direct hopefully he directs the sequel.

While Levi is fantastic the ensemble cast is fantastic with Asher Angel who is great as Billy Batson, Jack Dylan Grazer (From It) has really great chemistry with both Angel and Levi.

The Foster Family I loved like Faithe Herman as Darla Dudley the younger of the bunch, the first parents played by Cooper Andrews and Marta Milans as Victor and Rosa Vasquez respectfully have really fleshed out characters.

There is a bit of horror elements which was cool.

The Goofy tone was perfect for this movie as its basically Big but in a superhero movie and it even makes a Big reference. The comedy really works as its mainly a family comedy superhero movie.

There are some real tearful moments mainly with Billy's past.

While it does connect to the DCEU with Subtle name drops and references , it feels like a great stand alone while still towing things together without beating you in the head about it.

While Thaddeus Sivana isn't the best villain I thought Mark Strong played him pretty well (I do miss him as Sinestro though in that awful GL film) as a first villain for Shazam to face he served his purpose.

Benjamin Wallfisch's Sweeping Musical Score is fanrastic.

The Third Act of the movie is incredible with a bunch of surprises that I'm happy were not spoiled at all.

The Post Credit scenes were great.

The Bad
I wish the Seven Deadly Sins had more colorful unique designs cause they all just look a bit bland.

Final Thoughts: Shazam! Is a fantastic nearly perfect movie and I'm happy that DC finally knows what their doing now focusing on making the characters work and focusing on making a good movie rather than rushing a universe.

Overall Grade: A

Pet Sematary - Review (2019)

The Good
The Cast is what really saves this movie from John Lithgow  who is excellent and Jason Clarke is fine as his character.

Rachel Creed  as the mom is fantastic though and is the best performance of the movie.

Jeté Laurence also does a great job as the daughter who dies instead of the younger child.

Church the cat is amazing

The Atmosphere is great and the visual appeal is there.

Some of the jump scares worked and some didn't.

The ending is the only thing not spoiled in the trailers (looking at you Sony and all your trailers) and its unexpected and not predictable.

The Bad
The trailer spoils the whole damn movie even the bait and switch, someone from Paramount's marketing team should be fired.

You basically seen it before just updated.

The pacing is terrible.

It isn't gonna blow your socks of if your a huge horror fan like me the marketing says one of the best Stephen King movies ever made I don't a greet with that this isn't on the same level as a lot of his adaptations its just an alright horror movie at least its the best Pet Semetary film as the original is meh and the 2nd is terrible.

Final Thoughts: Pet Semetary is alright its definitely not the best horror movie of the year since that is more than likely gonna go to Us, but its not the worst horror movie of the year its just OK.

Overall Grade: C+
