sateler96 1579
Driveways - Review (2020) The Good Andrew Ahn's Direction Hannah Bos and Paul Thurteen's wonderful screenplay about just being kind to each other. Hong Chau's performance Brian Dennehy's wonderful performance in one of his final roles. The Bad Nothing Final Thoughts: Driveways is probably gonna be the sweetest and nicest films you will watch from 2020. Overall Grade: A+
sateler96 1579
The Midnight Sky - Review (2020) The Good Even though the movie is a fucking mess Clooney's Direction is at least great. George Clooney is at least great. Felicity Jones & David Oyelowo are decent. Visuals are amazing. Alexandre Desplat's probably Oscar winning Score. The Bad The Terrible Narrative Structure. Characters you dont give a shit about. The movie doesn't know if it wanta to be a Sci-fi film or a Survival Film. Pacing is a mess. Its Predictable. Final Thoughts: This is a more Style over Substance kind of film, which if i were you just watch it for the Visuals and Desplat's score. Overall Grade: C
sateler96 1579
One Night in Miami - Review (2020) The Good Regina King's fantastic direction in her directorial debut. The performances from Kingsley Ben-Adir (Malcolm X), Eli Goree (Muhammad Ali), Aldis Hodge (Jim Brown), and Leslie Odom Jr. (Sam Cooke) are all Phenomenal. Kemp Powers Screenplay with a fictionalized story of qhat if these 4 met and basically had a conversation with each other. Tami Reiker's Cinematography The Music. The Bad Nothing Final Thoughts: One Night in Miami is a fantastic debut for Regina King as a director. Overall Grade: A+
sateler96 1579
Borat Subsequent Moviefilm - Review (2020) The Good Sacha Baron Cohen is amazing again as Borat. Maria Bakalova's stand out performance which she could get nominated for a Oscar is what im hearing. Jason Woliner'a direction. Its definitely hilarious. The Rudy Giuliani scene. A great commentary like the first movie but now during 2020. The hilarious ending. The Bad It feels less real like the firsy movie cause like how do you not know who Borat is. Pretty much like the first movie. Final Thoughts: Borat 2 suprisingly works which is rare like since most comedies sequels don't work. Overall Grade: A-
sateler96 1579
The Little Things (2021) - Grade The Good Denzel Washington and Rami Malek's performance are great but nothing award worthy. John Lee Hancock's Direction The Atmosphere. Thomas Newman's Score The Bad Jared Leto's performance is shit. It definitely almost feels like Seven, but no where as good as that movie, where that movie felt gritty, dark, gross this feels very clean cut. All the supporting actors are just there. John Lee Hancock's Hancock's Screenplay Its just not very interesting. John Schwartzman's Cinematography just makes everything in this movie very nice looking and clean cut. Its too long and boring Final Thoughts: The Little Things has 2 great performances in a very forgettable and only a 1 time viewing movie that just tries to rip off a hetter movie of Seven. Overall Grade: D+ Edited January 29 by sateler96
sateler96 1579
Malcolm & Marie - Review (2021) The Good Zendaya and John David Washington are amazing I just wish they were in a WAY better film. Sam Levinson's Direction. It being Black & White. Washington's Rant on a critic. The Bad Sam Levinson's Screenplay is horrendous its literally all over the place. Its literally a whole movie of a couple bickering which is headache endusing and when they stop they randomly do it again and its just annoying from beginning to end. They keep walking around everywhere its so tiring. The Pacing. Final Thoughts: While Malcom & Marie isn't great it does give us amazing performances from John David Washington and Zendaya. Overall Grade: C
sateler96 1579
Earwig and the Witch - Review (2021) The Good Thomas the Cat The Mandrake The Actual Rock Songs are good. It has some charm. The Bad The Animation is ass even though its "Studio Ghibli's" first CG film it looks ugly. Even though people been calling it a Studio Ghibli film it feels nothing like a Studio Ghibli film. Underdeveloped characters. Gorō Miyazaki's Direction is ass nothing like his father. Earwig is a annoying terrible character. Satoshi Takebe's Score is awful. A Cliff Hanger.... Final Thoughts: This may have been one of the worst anime films I have ever watched, thankfully Hayao Miyazaki is making the true next Ghibli film. Overall Grade: D-
sateler96 1579
Judas and the Black Messiah - Review (2021) The Good Shaka King's phenomenal direction. Daniel Kaluuya as Fred Hampton and Lakeith Stanfield as Bill O'Neal are amazing as the definitely give Oscar worthy performances mainly Kaluuya who may win Best Supporting Actor. Other performances are fantastic as well from Jesse Plemons as Roy Mitchell, Dominique Fishback as Deborah Johnson, Ashton Sanders as Jimmy Palmer, Martin Sheen as J. Edgar Hoover, Darrell Britt-Gibson as Bobby Rush, Lil Rel Howery, Algee Smith as Jake Winters, and Jermaine Fowler as Mark Clark Will Berson and Shaka King's Screenplay that tells the true story i never knew about Fred Hampton from story from the Director, Berson and the Lucas Brothers. Mark Isham and Craig Harris's Score. Sean Bobbitt's Cinematography. The Bad Nothing Final Thoughts: Finally the first Great Movie of 2021 and definitely the best movie WB/HBO Max has released so far. Overall Grade: A+
sateler96 1579
Willys Wonderland - Short Review (2021) The Good Nicholas Cage is awesome The Puppets are awful looking in a good way. Its insane The Gore. The Bad Its pretty much a rip off of Five Night's at Freddy's just yhe other way around. Its definitely not great. The other characters arent important Final Thoughts: Willy's Wonderland is so bad its good territory that you will find enjoyment in. Overall Grade: C+

sateler96 1579
Music - Review (2021) The Good Nothing The Bad My god where to fucking start Sia's AWFUL Direction and AWFUL Screenplay The depiction of Autism if offensive and disgusting I honestly don't know what i jusf watching. Awful music from Sia and Labrinth and awful music numbers dream things what ever. Kate Hudson and Leslie Odom Jr. are awful prob ruining Odom's oscar winning chances. Maddie Ziegler gives one of the worst performances i have seen. Final Thought: This may be the overall worst movie of 2021 cause i can't see what could be worse, the fact the the Golden Globes nominated this shows their a joke. Overall Grade: Fuck You
sateler96 1579
Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar - Review (2021) The Good Kristen Wigg and Annie Mumolo fantastic hilarious performances and chemistry. Josh Greenbaum's Direction. Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo's screenplay. Jamie Dornan is fantastic as one of the villains and hes hilarious. Damon Wayans Jr. is great. The Plot is so ridiculous, but it works so well with this movie. Reyn Doi has a scene stealer. The Cameos are great. The Bad I don't know what was up with the mice. Kristen Wigg as the main villain I think? is pretty meh. Final Thoughts: Barb and Star is definitely a stand out comedy of the year. sateler96 1579
Tom & Jerry - Review (2021) The Good Obviously Tom & Jerry are the best parts. The fun antics of Tom & Jerry. Tom's Should Angel and Shoulder Devil The other animated classic characters from the cartoons. The animation on the animated characters. The Bad The Modern Music just doesn't fit with Tom & Jerry. Whenever Tom & Jerry are not on Screen i just don't care really about the human characters cause obviously the human characters were huge in the cartoons (Sarcasm). Chloë Grace Moretz is very annpying. Michael Peña is just there. Ken Jeong is just not funny. Final Thoughts: if watch this just wanting the Tom & Jerry scenes then you may love it, but overall a movie it just doesn't work for me cause they keep forcing the humans to show up in a movie called Tom & Jerry. Overall Grade: C+

sateler96 1579
Wrong Turn (2021) - Review The Bad The First 30- 40 minutes are pretty eh, cause I didn't give a shit about the characters, but after that it starts to pick up and become more interesting. The Good After those painful minutes characters start to get interesting, you question stuff, you rhink if goes one way and it goes another way. It has good questions about culture. The kills are awesome No Hill Billy incest bullshit Better budget. If this is a stand alone thats fine, but i can see a better franchise jn this and would want to see more than the other Hillbilly bullshit. Final Thoughts: I'd though i would hate this Reboot/Remake, but instead its better than all the other Films. Overall Grade: B
sateler96 1579
Coming 2 America - Review (2021) The Good Eddie Murphy is great as always as Akeem. Arsenio Hall is also great as Semmi Shari Headley is back as Lisa Akeem's wife. James Earl Jones small role is great as the king. Jermaine Fowler as Akeem's bastard son is meh at first, but starts to grow as a character as the movie goes on KiKi Layne as Akeem's first Daughter is badass. The love story with Lavelle and Mirembe is pretty strong. Wesley Snipes is also great. Tracy Morgan is funny. Craig Brewer's Direction The deaging in certain scenes is suprisingly not terrible. Costume Design is fantastic Cameos from Morgan Freeman, Rick Ross, and Trevor Noah. The ending is great. The Credit Outakes. The Bad The Plot is pretty meh and the title is pretty much a lie its not really Coming to America since their in New York for a bit. Its not as funny as the original. Leslie Jones is annoying The CGI on the animals is AWFUL especially the Lion. Final Thoughts: Coming 2 America won't be a classic like the original, but its not terrible like most comedy sequels. Overall Grade: C+
sateler96 1579
Raya and the Last Dragon - Review (2021) The Good Kelly Marie Tran is fantastic as Raya who is badass. Awkwafina is hilarious as Sisu the Last Dragon Alan Tudyk's noises as Tuk Tuk is hilarious. Gemma Chan as Namaari is also badass. Don Hall and Carlos López Estrada's Direction. Daniel Dae Kim as Raya's Father is great. Benedict Wong as Tong is funny too with the other Supporting characters. Sandra Oh is good. The animation is breath taking. The Action Sequences are amazing. James Newton Howard's Score. It has a good message. The Bad Its a little predictable. Final Thoughts: Disney Animation with Pixar show why they are dominating company in Animation in America with this being one of the best in Disney Animation. sateler96 1579
Chaos Walking - Review (2021) The Good On Paper this movie could have been great Thats about it. The Bad The Execution of the premise is horrendous The Men have a power called Noise....... dumbass name The noise is annoying. Doug Liman who is a great director, his direction is horrendous Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley are AWFUL Mainly cause the bad script that had constant rewrites Mads Mikkelsen is jusg there like Cynthia Erivo, Kurt Sutter, David Oyelowo, Nick Jonas. It was filmed in 2017.......... that pretty much tells you its shit cause the studio knows it shit. Its a giant snoozefest Visual Effects are Awful. Cinematography is ASS. Final Thoughts: This movie is just one giant piece of shit of a mess. Overall Grade: F
sateler96 1579
Cherry - Review (2021) The Good Tom Holland and Ciara Bravo try their best for what they are given, but it just doesnt help they both have young faces. Jack Reynor is alright The Bad The Russo Brother's Direction its very flash and so in your face. The Screenplay is not good The 4th wall breaking is so bad and narrating. The biggest problem is Nico Walker's story which is what the movie is based on is not really that interesting. It doesn't feel believable. Its boring. The scene of a doctor looking up an asshole from the perspective of the ass........... wtf The Cinematography is so bad. Its too fucking long. Tom Holland with the bighest fake mustache is laughable. Final Thoughts: This is a major step down for the Russos aftwr doing 4 straight Marvel films which are fantastic seems like when their not doinng Marvel their back to their shit movie ways, this may be worse than Failure to Launch. Also i just laugh at tool Jimmy Fallon saying this is getting award buzz, its not lol idiot. Overall Grade: D
sateler96 1579
Zack Snyder's Justice League - Review (2021) The Good Henry Cavill as Kal-El/Clark Kent/Superman, no awful Baby lips , actual Black Suit, sadly no mullet and beard, but he gets more scenes, sadly this is probably the last time you will see Cavill as Superman since Warner Brothers is doing a unnecessary reboot with Black Superman and they basically don't have any faith in Cavill as an actor. The scene where Martha see's Clark again still works even in both versions. Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman is at least not treated like a sex object even though now in actual canon DCEU her character is ruined thanks to Patty Jenkins. Ray Fisher as Victor Stone/Cyborg gets redeemed even though his CGI is still shit, his backstory is brought back and given more character development, but this may also be the last time you see Ray Fisher as Cyborg since he wanted to be a cry baby bitch and ruin his so called career. The awful bobble head scene is still in there. The Opening is better than the Phone Camera scene with Baby Lips. Junkie XL's score is wayyyyy better than Elfman's, music isfixed like Hans Zimmer's main theme for Wonder Woman and Superman's Flight theme is back. The Awful Russian Family has been erased from this movie (thank god). The awful scene where Flash lands on Wonder Woman's breast is deleted and all the sexist jokes. The Finale Fight is better than Whedon's The Bad Zack Snyder's Direction this dude doesn't know how to set a consistent tone or set comedic timing without it feeling awkward, look at Man of Steel with its cringe worthy comedy after the whole "He's kinda hot" thing after Superman killed a bunch of people on accident. Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman still looks like he doesn't give a shit. Jason Mamoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman is still the my man and my dude bro since they didn't give actual character development till his movie. The wierd water bubbles are still there when James Wan made it better. Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash, i never cared for him anyway thought he was incredibly miscast, Grant Gustin is the real Flash, his comedic timing is alsp very bad. They really don't have any chemistry with each other as a team unlike All The Avengers. Theres a scene where Barry saves Iris which has laughably bad slow motion shots. Some Worst Visual Effects I have ever seen again since Snyder didnt even try to fix anything and i don't wanna hear the lame excuse "oh Zack Snyder had only $70 Million" there had been smaller films with less budget with better visual effects. Amy Adams as Lois Lane even with more scenes she still feels forced being in this movie and never added anything to both versions. Para Demons i think look worse? Martain Manhunter is an embarrassment to the character he just looks horrendous and Bruce's reaction is laughable cause hes obviously looking at nothing. Steppenwolf suit looks better but my god hes still a shit CGI villain, him without a mask is awful. Darksied jesus christ he looks really fucking bad, he looks like a bad PS2 graphic character. DeSaad is also a meh villain. Silas Stone is a dumbass. Jared Leto is back as Joker and hes still the worst Joker ever with the worst laugh, but now hes WAY worse, instead of looking like a wannabe gangster now hes a wannabe Marilyn Manson cosplayer. They kept that stupid post credits scene teasing the Legion of Doom which were never getting. Jessie Eisenberg is still the worst Lex Luthor Joe Manganiello as Slade Wilson/Deathstroke is pretty much just there to be there and does nothing and he looks stupid. J. K. Simmons as Jim Gordon who cares cause he aint coming back hes back with Marvel as J Jonah Jamenson. Amber Heard's Mera Pre Aquaman film and less badass. Semi-random inclusion of minor melodramatic subplots 4 FUCKING HOURS. It didn't need to be this long theres way too much slow motion shots and WAY too many Musical Montages that this movie feels like a slog watching, theres no way this would ever come out in theaters if you can't tell your movie in 2 hours or nearly 3 then your not doing a good job, but i mean they did rush to get to Justice League. The 4 houts also messes with the pacing. All the Knightmare scenes are meh as fuck. The R Rating adds nothing, its just a lazy attempt to be edgy, F-Bombs feel forced and laughable, this could of been PG-13. There's fan service, but honestly i just don't care cause its now gonna lead to anything unlike MCU's fanservice which has payoff. The Epilogue is awful The Cliff Hanger ending is so laughable cause its not getting a Sequel. Final Thoughts: The Snyder Cut is obviously a mess while a some what improvement of 2017's version its still nothing memorable while it has more new scenes to make it a more watchable movie its something i will never watch again like alot of DCEU films cause their universe is a huge mess, unlike the MCU which even in its weakee films theie still important and good. Now no more cuts i don't wanna fucking see people wanting a Ayer Cut, that dude is a hack now and The Suicide Squad has a better director in James Gunn. MDCFAN101 1239
Zack Snyder's Justice League - Review The Positives: The story, while the same from 2017, is told much better and in much greater detail than in 2017. The acting was much better and more memorable than in 2017. Steppenwolf was more badass and interesting than he was in 2017. Jeremy Irons is fantastic once again as Alfred. Jason Mamoa is great as Aquaman. Gal Gadot is excellent as Wonder Woman. Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher are much more interesting as Flash and Cyborg than in 2017. Ben Affleck is fantastic as Batman. I know @sateler96 felt he was terrible, but to me, he was great. Diane Lane and Amy Adams are excellent as Martha Kent and Lois Lane. Willem Dafoe is great as Vulko. J.K. Simmons is great as Commissioner Gordon. Henry Lennix, despite having a terrible design for his Martian Manhunter form, I thought he did a great job portraying the character. However, the stars of the film to me were Henry Cavill as Superman and Ray Porter providing the voice of Darkseid. Ray Porter did an excellent job in providing Darkseid's voice. Granted he was no Michael Ironside, but IMO he still did a great job. As for Henry Cavill, he was absolutely badass as Superman. The action was much more intense and badass than in 2017. OMG, if you thought how Superman manhandled Steppenwolf in 2017, you haven't seen squat. How Supes manhandles Steppenwolf here is savage and brutal. The CGI, visuals, and special effects IMO were better than in 2017. I personally loved not only Steppenwolf's new design, but also, Darkseid's design as well. I know @sateler96 hated it, but to me, it was good and comic accurate. Granted, I will confess it wasn't as appealing as Thanos' design from Infinity War and Endgame, but still cool IMO. Zack Snyder's direction. Zack Snyder really worked hard in making this movie. As far as I am concerned, he really the Justice League while making this movie. I had no issues with the 4-hour runtime. As a matter of fact, it didn't feel like 4-hours to me. The dark and serious tone was better. Junkie XL's score was fantastic. While I love Danny Elfman, his score in the theatrical cut was terrible. I also had no issues with the R-rating. I absolutely loved the Knightmare scenes. I will confess that I was a fan of the Knightmare scene in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. The black suit. OMG, the black suit was absolutely amazing. The Negatives: I did not care for Jessie Eisenberg's Lex Luthor and Jared Leto's Joker. I also did not like Jared Leto's new look for the Joker. I did not care Amber Heard's British accent. I did not care for Desaad. Growing up, I never cared about Desaad especially in the cartoons. I absolutely did not like Martian Manhunter's look at all. IMO it was awful. Overview: While not exactly perfect by any means, Zack Snyder's Justice League is awesome. I had an absolute blast watching this film.
