The Mitchells vs. The Machines - Review (2021)

The Good
The Premise is wierd which is perfect

The voice cast is great from Abbi Jacobson, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Mike Rianda, Eric Andre, Olivia Colman, Fred Armisen, Beck Bennett, Conan O'Brien, Charlyne Yi, Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, Blake Griffin, and Doug the Pug (yes an actual dog).

The Animation is fantastic and just unique has a good mix of 2D and 3D animation.

Its hilarious, but also has heart and very warm hearting moments.

The subtle jokes that are true.

The Ending is awesome

The Bad
Absolutely nothing

Final Thoughts: Its shocking that this didnt have alot of confidence from Sony since the producers are Lord and Miller, this is a easy contender for Best Animation for next years oscars.

Overall Grade: A+

Jupiter's Legacy (Season 1) - Review (2021)

The Good
Josh Duhamel as Sheldon Sampson / The Utopian is great.

Ben Daniels as Walter Sampson / Brainwave is also good.

Leslie Bibb as Grace Kennedy-Sampson / Lady Liberty is good as well.

The Fights are at least nice.

The Bad
Elena Kampouris as Chloe Sampson my god is her character awful she is annoying, dumb, and shes a bitch, shes easiest the worst character on the show.

Andrew Horton as Brandon Sampson / The Paragon, hes just bland.

Steven S. DeKnight as the showrunner continues into a downward spiral ever since Pacific Rim: Uprising be such trash.

Character development is trash.

I really don't give a shit about any of the characters.
It goes back and forth on flashbacks abruptly too.

Some of the worst make up and wigs i have ever seen.

Hit and Miss Visual Effects

Too much shit is going on and its just slow and boring.

Alot of slow motion.

The ending of Season 1 is lame.

Final Thoughts: this is the first content from Mark Miller for TV and its a failure should of just rebooted Kick-Ass, hopefully this doesn't get a Season 2.

Overall Grade: D

Those Who Wish Me Dead - Review (2021)

The Good
Taylor Sheridan's Direction is great

Angelina Jolie's fantastic performance elevates the not so great screenplay in this movie.

Finn Little is pretty good.

Jon Bernthal is great as the sherrif

Medina Senghore who plays Bernthal's wife is a badass.

Aidan Gillen and Nicholas Hoult are great are the villains.

When the craziness starts to happen it never lets up and thars a good thing.

The Bad
While Taylor does write the script he is joined by Michael Koryta (the Author of the book this movie is based off of) and Charles Leavitt, and in my opinion i think Taylor should of wrote the screenplay alone as its proven in the past that when he writes athe script alone (Sicario, Hell or High Water, Wind River) are better movies than this.

Someone dies that made me upset at the end.

Why was Tyler Perry in this, he doesn't do this shit.

Jolie and a kid out ran the fire......

It does take like nearly 30 mins for stuff to happen after a crazy opening.

Final Thoughts: For Taylor's 2nd film its alright its no where near as great Wind River is, but its still fun too watch.

Overall Grade: B

Wrath of Man - Review (2021)

The Good
Jason Statham is great obviously.

Guy Ritchie's direction

The side cast of characters are fine, but its the Jason show.

Unexpected Title Sequence.

The Bad
Theres Guy Ritchie quips which doesn't fit this movie.

The movie feels long cause its like 2 first acts from different perspectives and to be honest it got really boring

Post Malone didnt need to be in this movie lol.

The score for the most part doesn't work for this movie.

Final Thoughts: Its not terrible, but i will not ever watch this again unlike other Ritchie Films

Overall Grade: C-

Spiral: From the Book of Saw - Review (2021)

The Good
Chris Rock is fine sometimes hes great with comedy, but when he tries to be serious he goes way over the top.

Samuel L. Jackson is good, but i felt he was completely wasted.

Some of the traps are memorable and their winable unlike many other traps.

Unlike John Kramer and Mark Hoffman, the Copycat Killer's motivation makes sense.

It goes back to basics like the first Saw film being a Detective film and less on torture porn.

It does go into a somewhat new direction, but ultimately you seen it before.

Least the main Saw theme is still in here.

The Bad
Darren Lynn Bousman is back to direct this being his 4th film and to be honest i think its his weakest.

Josh Stolberg and Peter Goldfinger are back to write after Jigsaw and just like that film the writing is sometimes laughable.

The Flashbacks did nothing for me.

Didn't care for the soundtrack.

The Fast Editing is back and i was never really a fan of it.

The reveal of the copycat killer was obvious.

The very laughable awful ending probably the worst in the franchise.

Final Thought: While not anythjng ground breaking it is a decent watch and with a better director and writers maybe Saw X will ne better.

Overall Grade: C-

Army of the Dead - Review (2021)

The Good
The Opening Montage Sequence is so awesome that the movie never really lives up to it.

The Zombies as there are different kinds there is the slow Romero Zombies, the 28 Days Later Zombies, and Alpha Zombies

The Zombie Tiger is fucking awesome

The Zombie Lore by it self set up a more interesting Prequel or the anime series were getting.

Snyder definitely took inspiration from Resident Evil,  The Last of Us, and Dying Light, theres even a Nuke Deadline countdown like Resident Evil 3

The Gore is great.

The Bad
Zack Snyder's Direction is meh especially the whole first act.

The Characters are not very good nor do you care for them to be honest.

Dave Bautista's character has no personality.

Ella Purnell who plays Bautista's daughter is the worst character in this movie, she wants to go with him to save her friend with no military training at all just a pistol and if she doesn't go she ruins the operation (stupid) and shes just annoying bitch to top it, and by the 3rd act shes popping zombies heads like its nothing (again stupid) its just bad writing.

Speaking of bad writing from Zack Snyder, Joby Harold, and Shay Hatten which just feels like watched certain movies and took the one liners from them.

The Script also tries to preach about refugees and them getting out to have a better life like why is that in a zombie movie.

Matthias Schweighöfer as the safehacker is also really fucking annoying.

The Way the Zombie Apocalypse starts is retarded as shit.

It didn't need to be 2 and half hours Snyder could of shaved alot of fucking minutes out of the first act of the movie, cause it literally takes like 50 God Damn Minutes for them to get into Vegas, Snyder literally could of cut all the forcd drama bullshit, Re introduce the characters, set the heist up and then get to Vegas without all the bullshit, but No Snyder so up bis damn ass.

The Emotional Moments don't work cause you don't really care about Ella Purnell's character.

The Slow Motion is terrible theres even slow motion in dream like flashbacks that are supposed to be emotional, but you just don't care.

The Ending just goes on and on which ruins the pacing.

Final Thoughts: Army of the Dead is meh with the Zombie Lore being more interesting than the actual characters that Zack Snyder tries to make you care about, but you just don't and instead of just making a dumb fun movie, he tries to much with forced Emotional moments, disposable poorly written characters, and his terrible slow motion.

Overall Grade: C-

The Woman in the Window - Review (2021)

The Good
Amy Adams is decent

Its shot well

And that may be it.

The Bad
Joe Wright's Bland Direction

Tracy Letts very messy and terrible script.

Anthony Mackie,  Julianne Moore, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gary Oldman, Wyatt Russel, and Brian Tyree Henry are all wasted.

Fred Hechinger is horrible.

The Editing is some of the worst I have ever seen i don't know how it was supposed to release in theaters.

Its boring its just a bunch of talking with a terrible script.

There is a suspenseful moment for finding a phone........

Certain scenes i have no idea what the fuck is going on.

When it tries to be emotional you just dont care

Final Thoughts: The Women in the Window is a suspenseful DUD.

Overall Grade: F+

F9 - Review (2021)

The Good
Vin Diesal,  Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, and Nathalie Emmanuel all work well together like always.

Justin Lin returns as Director and he definitely still delivers a mostly fun movie.

Jordana Brewster's Mia is back and shes fine.

Sung Kang returns as Han and hos return probably the best emotional and only emotional moment that works.

Helen Mirren is back as Magdalene "Queenie" Shaw and she gets to drive a badass car this time.

The first half's big Action set piece is really awesome.

Another Action Sequence that.inolves Lettie, Mia, and Anna Sawai's Elle is great cause its a normal fight action scene.

Dom's and jakob's fight scene is decent.

The Magnet Cars while stupid is still betrer than a flying space ship car.

The Soundtrack for the most part some songs are good and some are terrible.

The Post Credit Scene.

The Bad
Vinnie Bennett and Finn Cole who play younger Dom and Jakob look nothing at all like a younger Vin Diesal and John Cena and their performances are bad.

The flashbacks don't work cause I don't care and it just ruins the pacing of the movie and it kinda ruins Dom as the character we saw him from the first movie.

They also brought back street racing in the flashback, but its ruin so much by slow mo.

There just too much stuff going on of people either going somewhere and talking, flashbacks of talking, meeting old characters and talking, or looking for stuff with not enough action.

Sadly The Sceenplay isn't that greay being the first movie since 2002 that Chris Morgan isn't apart of and it shows theres a line where Dom's sister says the kids are with the one who will keep them safe and Lettie says With Brian like no shit sherlock.

Jonh Cena as Jakob is just unconvincing as a villain and hes written so thinley that he doesn't have alot to go with.

Charlize Theron's villain character Cipher is just the series worst villain shes so bland and her hair cut is dumber than his movie and not the good dumb.

Thue Ersted Rasmussen's Otto isnt good either.

Lucas Black is back as Sean even tho he looks OLD AS FUCK and hes supposed to be like at least 20 something, Bow Wow and Jason Tobin are the reasons for the Space nonsense and thats all their used for nothing else.

The scene where Roman and Tej go to space on a Car attached to a Space shuttle with a rocket launcher, does not work at all its not plausable or necessary, thankfully it does't last long.

Cardi B's character just shows up her acting is atrocious it just feels forced least she didn't do that bird noise garbage.

The very noticeable bland CGI especially in Tokyo it looks fake a fuck.

While its a very dumb movie and it knows it, it might be reaching a bit.

The Big MacGuffin is stipid as shit.

I think not having Rock's Luke Hobbs in this definitely hurts cause at least he brings the charisma and the funny jokes, and this movies comedy is just hit or miss.

The whole Star Wars conversation was dumb.

The way Han Survived Tokyo Drift/Furious 7 makes no fucking sense.

Unlike previous movies in this franchise the runtime definitely shows as it just keeps going and going while past films felt like a breeze.

For the 3rd act this is probably very least exciting 3rd act in the franchise.

The Trailer spoiled the ending minus one thing which was dumb as shit.

Final Thoughts: Usually i can take the stupid in this franchise, but this just had too much stupid that it really hurt my brain with poorly written script, weak forced emotional moments besides Han, terrible Villains, and a mixed bag of action i would really only rewatch this in a marathon unlike the other Fast movies besidea Tokyo and 4 and if 10 and 11 are anyrhing like this then i am not excited at all.

Overall Grade: C-

Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway - Review (2021)

The Good
Rose Byrne and Domhnall Gleeson are still great.

The Voice cast is still great from James Corden as Peter Rabbit (who gets more character development), Margot Robbie as Flopsy, Elizabeth Debicki as Mopsy, Aimee Horne as Cottentail (who replaces Daisey Ridley), Colin Moody as Benjamin and some many other great actors as the characters.

Will Gluck's direction is improved grom the first.

The Wink and nods

The emotional weight between Peter and Domhnall Gleeson's Thomas McGregor is great.

The song choices.

The CGI is a bit better.

The Bad
David Oyelowo is a generic character trying to change Rose's Character book.

Its not as funny as the first movie, but i guess iy having more hearts than comedy helps, but still could of had both.

The plot isnt as interesting as the first movie to be honest.

Final Thoughts: Peter Rabbit 2 is a nice follow up to 2018's first film as it improves the emotional moments more than the first, but the plot being kinda eh over the first movie.

Overall Grade: B

A Quiet Place Part II - Review (2021)

The Good
John Krasinski's Direction and writing are once again amazing like the first film as he expands the world, but he doesnt lose what made the first film so good the samll scale horror and the characters.

Performances from Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe are still once again great.

The Introduction of Cillian Murphy's character is a great addition.

Djimon Hounsou is good too.

The Day 1 Sequence showing how it all started is fantastic and the use of the sound in is amazing just showing how loud everyone was doing when the monsters attacked.

John Krasinski is great in that opening scene as well.

The way Krasinski uses the monsters by barely seeing them just makes them even more scarier like The Shark in Jaws, Xenomorphs in Alien and Aliens and The Predator, you know what the monsters look like now, but not showing them alot truely keeps them being scary.

Like i said the Sound Design just like the first film is Phenomenal.

Little Small Call Backs to the first movie.

The Visuals on the monsters are still great.

The Suspense just ramps up more and more as movie progresses like the first movie.

The way the 3rd act is set up going back and forth between 2 different locarions but both simular situations is really well done.

The Bad
It kinda just ends i guess there will be a 3rd film not a negative just a abrupt cliffhanger.

Final Thoughts: A Quiet Place Part II is a worthy follow up and i day one of the best sequels which hard to in Horror, but finally a true great horror mpvie in 2021.

Overall Grade: A+

Cruella - Review (2021)

The Good
Emma Stone as Cruella is great even if the movie is shit, she gives 100%.

Emma Thompson is the best thing in this movie.

Joel Fry and Paul Walter Hauser are also good.

The Costume Design alone will prob get a Oscar Nomination since it is fantastic.

It is shot well and visually stunning.

The Bad
Craig Gillespie's forgettable direction which is sad cause he made the better Lars and the Real Girl.

BIG NEGATIVE the wasting of Mark Strong, big points lost right there.

Dana Fox and Tony McNamara very shitty script that isnall over the place.

My God this movie is too fucking long clocking at 2 hours and 14 mins this movie is just a slog with a prologue with too much going on with the rest of the movie being repetitive they could of cut 30 minutesb out of this.

It suffers for being a prequel, giving her a tragic back story (like Maleficent) that we don't buy or give a shit about, she kills fucking animals Disney jesus christ.

Just like how Suicide Squad felt like a bad music video full of songs this is the same way that it gets annoying.

Disney spend $200 Fucking Million on this movie WHY????

Final Thoughts: Creulla is another Live Action Disney Film that just feels like a cash grab and movie i felt no one really asked for.

Overall Grade: D+

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It - Review (2021)

The Good
Vera Farmiga & Patrick Wilsonare still great even with a horrible script in this terrible movie.

The 80's setting is decent.

Michael Burgess's Cinematography even though its not on the same level as John R. Leonetti and Don Burgess from 1 and 2 Respectively.

The Bad
Michael Chaves's horrible direction as tries to imitate James Wan's better direction, but faila in every way possible as the Suspense Sequence are no where near the level on 1 and 2

David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick's weak ass script, the young man possessed by a demon to carry out a murder (Ruairi O'Connor), feels more like a plot device than a distinct character Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) have to work with this weak ass script it just feels lazy.

While it moves away from the Haunted House plot, the main plot is not good.

The Villain is forgettable as fuck.

The Fucking terrible Jump scare galore.

Final Thoughts: Thanks to WB and Michael Chaves this is easily the worst Conjuring movie, maybe you should of waited for James Wan you idiots, please kill this franchise cause its not making any terrifying films and just shitty spinoffs

Overall Grade: D-

Infinite - Review (2021)

The Good
Chiwetel Ejiofor just chews up the terrible dialogue and steals every scene he is in, i just wanted him to win cause i hated everyone else.

The Bad
Well the fact Paramount had no faith in this and took this out of theaters and sent it to Paramount+ says alot.

Antoine Fuqua's Bland Direction it just feels like a rip off of many other stuff.

Ian Shorr's HORRIBLE Screenplay.

Mark Wahlberg is really bad in this like his acting is almost near The Happening levels.

Sophie Cookson who was great Kingsman , her acting is horrendous.

Tony Jones is WASTED.

Dylan O'Brien is also WASTED.

Jason Mantzoukas as a scientist....

Other characters are forgettable.

The awful naration.

The futuristic tech is too dumb.

The very laughable Action Sequences

A chase sequence so fucking dumb.

The Laughable CGI that is some of the worst I have ever seen.

Slow Motion so bad  that it makes Zack Snyder's slow motion the Mona lisa of Slow Motion.

Harry Gregson-Williams generic ass score.

Awful Shots theres even a close up shot in water being poured.......why???

Tone is all over the place.

Awful soundtrack.

The final fight is so bad.

They tease a sequel? That will never happen.

Final Thoughts: I have no fucking idea what I just watched, but i feel sick after watching it. Infinite is easily Fuqua's worst film.

Overall Grade: F

In the Heights -  Short Review (2021)

The Good
The Opening Sequence holy shit.

Jon M. Chu's Direction he has gotten better since Crazy Rich Asians.

Quiara Alegría Hudes Screenplay from the Broadway play from him and Lin.

Fantasic Performances from Anthony Ramos, Corey Hawkins, Leslie Grace, Melissa Barrera, Olga Merediz, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Gregory Diaz IV, Jimmy Smits, Stephanie Beatriz, Dascha Polanco, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Marc Anthony basically everyone.

Amazing Musicical Numbers from the mind of Lin-Manuel Miranda

Alice Brooks Cinematography is great.

The Bad
Absolutely Fucking Nothing.

Final Thoughts: In the Heights is easily one of the best Musicals I have ever seen, if you love musicals or just Lin-Manuel Miranda then your gonna love it.

Overall Grade: A+
