After 2014, Which studios do you trust to buy their games Day 1?

Recommended Posts

There's nothing else that hasn't already been said about 2014 and all the gaming controversies. With this in mind which are the studios you trust to deliver a great game day 1?

For me, thus far:

  • Naughty Dog
  • CD Projeckt
  • Rocksteady
  • Rockstar North
  • Bethesda Game Studios (although...Skyrim on PS3 still haunts me)
  • Nintendo EAD

I can't really say. I haven't played anything more recent than Bioshock Infinite, and that was in 2013, so I pretty much avoided all the glitchy nonsense from last year. But if I had to name a couple of the studios that are usually trustworthy in my book:

  • Naughty Dog
  • Sony's Santa Monica Studio
  • Platinum Games
  • Square Enix
  • Atlus
  • Level-5
  • Konami

I'm having a tough time trusting Bethesda since they're handling one of my favourite game series ever Doom and knowing them it'll probably come out extremely buggy at launch

But I trust: Platnium Games

Nintendo they always have solid games

Konami but to be honest the only games I buy from them is MGS

Anyways, I trust Rockstar, Aksys, Nintendo and Naughty Dog. Don't know many studios, I just play their games so yeah.

I emphasized Bethesda because even though their games are amazing, Skyrim on PS3 happened, so yeah.

Telltale games. I love their work.

I don't know if I can trust them after Season 2 of the Walking Dead.

But I would trust Nintendo to be perfectly honest. That's not a studio is it?

Their EAD teams are considered their developer studious.

pfft..
Rockstar and Naughtydog. They take care of releasing their games so that they're in excellent condition.
I also like Hanakogames but I don't think visual novels count 8]

All of Nintendo exclusive games, and Square enix me thinks

I would definitely never buy a game day 1 but if I had to, probably Rockstar North and CD Projeckt. Forgot to say, Croteam, Devolver Digital and that's pretty much it.

None. There's absolutely no benefit to ever preordering a game, especially if its digital and even if its not. Unless you really want to play it on release day (which you shouldn't, since it'll probably play better later when you get it on sale) then you're wasting a lot of money. Jesus himself could open up a game development/publisher and I'd still tell him to fuck off if he asked me to preorder his game.
