Fantasy Fights 2.0

Recommended Posts

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen and Happy New Year!!!

That is right as you can see from the title I have officially brought back Fantasy Fights.   YAY!!!!

The reason I stopped doing Fantasy Fights for a while was because I was going through some really bad personal problems so I didn't want that to interfere with my trying to entertain you guys.

Before I begin, let me lay down a couple of ground rules:

  1. Please keep the debates civil.  Just because someone doesn't share the same opinion/perspective as you do doesn't give you the right to scream at them nor insult them.
  2. If you have any requests, please contact me via private message here on the forums.

Now on to the main event.

SECTION I: Marvel vs. Mortal Kombat

For the first fight of this section, I pin the likes of:

2143604011_ScarletSpider(Kaine).jpg.56f34bdb72c2f492be4c2b3340d20e51.jpg                                                         Mileena.png.bc286da21e199a4588a5cf6c7d151d78.png

Scarlet Spider (Kaine Parker)                    vs.                                     Mileena

LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE

Scarlet Spider

Real Name: Kaine Parker

First Appearance: Web of Spider-Man Vol. 1 #119 (December, 1994)

Origin/Backstory: The clone that would come to be known as Kaine was the Jackal's first attempt at cloning Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man.  Initially thought to be a success, Kaine eventually became deformed due to a flaw in the cloning process. As he continued to degenerate, he was left further deformed and mentally unstable.  The Jackal allowed Kaine to live as a test subject, to see how long the clone would survive; it ended up far exceeding his expectations. As a result, Kaine experienced a strong feeling of rejection like that which might arise between a father and son. Kaine left Professor Warren and realized that the partial degeneration had also caused a slight amplification of the powers he had genetically 'inherited' from Peter. His strength, speed, stamina, and agility were comparable to those of Peter, but he also gained precognitive powers as well, which shows him flashes of the future (this new ability has been assumed to be an amplified version of Peter's spider-sense). He also possessed a "Mark of Kaine," a corrosive touch that he used to leave eaten-away hand-prints on his victims' faces.

Here are his powers, abilities, skills, and equipment:

  • Superhuman Strength: Like Peter Parker, Kaine possesses superhuman strength. Initially, his strength is different to Spider-Man's, and he could lift approximately 40 tons. Over time and further mutation, Kaine's physical strength has dramatically increased to the point of being able to lift up to 60 tons.  He has proven to be able to defeat the Rhino and beat him unconscious and hold his own against Peter. Ben, and other Spider-Man clones, such as Spidercide, at the same time.  Following his reset of powers from being cured of his degeneration, along with embracing the Other, it is assumed his strength level is roughly around Class 25, to when Peter had joined with the Other. When fully transformed into the Other, Kaine's strength is comparable to that of a Class 100 superhuman, as he was shown able to fight three Inheritors - Morlun, Daemos, and Solus - at once and kill the latter with ease.   His strength extends into his powerful leg muscles, allowing him to leap heights and distances in excess of human capability. Unlike Peter Parker, Kaine generally has no restraints on using his super-strength against enemies with typical human durability, and as such, is capable of severely injuring enemies with normal attacks.  During his battle against Spider-Man (Otto Octavius), Octavius stated that Kaine is noticeably stronger than him.
  • Superhuman Speed: Kaine is capable of running and moving at speeds that are beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete.
  • Superhuman Agility: Kaine's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete. In spite of his increased size and mass, Kaine is still just as agile as Spider-Man.
  • Superhuman Stamina: Kaine's augmented musculature is much more efficient than that of a normal human being. As a result, his muscles produce lesser amounts of fatigue toxins during physical activity than do those of ordinary humans. He can exert himself physically at peak capacity for at least several hours before the build up of fatigue toxins in his blood begins to impair him.
  • Superhuman Reflexes: Kaine's reflexes are similarly enhanced and are more efficient than those of an ordinary human by a factor of fifteen.
  • Superhuman Durability: Kaine's body is tougher and more resistant to some types of physical injury than that of a normal human. Kaine's bodily tissues are resistant to powerful impact or blunt force trauma. He can withstand impacts, such as falling from several stories, being repeatedly struck with superhuman force or by several powerful energy blasts, that would severely injure or kill a normal human with little to no injury himself.
  • Regenerative Healing Factor: Kaine's physiology was augmented with a limited healing factor.
  • Wall Crawling: Kaine is also able to stick to virtually any surface and crawl across it just as Spider-Man is capable of. His mental control over this ability has been increased to such a degree, he can rip a wall down just by tugging at it hard enough with his palms.
  • Mark of Kaine: This same attribute has also resulted in deformity in his hands. He can channel this same energy endothermically through his hands and leave a severe burn mark on a person by making skin-to-skin contact with them. He typically leaves this mark across a person's face, though it is presumed he can do the same to other parts of the body. Non-offensive usage of this power allows Kaine to easily burn his long hair (along with his beard) to a shorter length without burning himself in the process.
  • Biological/Organize Webbing Generation: Kaine has the ability to organically produce his own silk webbing from glands within his forearms, limited by his body's health and nutrition.
  • Psychic Alignment with Arthropods: Kaine has an unknown method of creating a psychic alignment with his environment; specifically, a more empathetic and sympathetic relationship with spiders and insects. While connected to the varying populations of spiders, he was unable to communicate with them directly or command them.
  • Immunity to Spider-Man's Spider-Sense: Kaine is immune to Spider-Man's Spider-Sense. Due to their sharing the same DNA, Spider-Man's Spider-Sense recognizes Kaine as "self.
  • While Kaine has had no formal training, he is a formidable hand-to-hand combatant, and uses an unusual type of free-style technique similar to that of Spider-Man, though Kaine has no qualms against fighting in a more brutal style. It allows him to make full use of his strength and agility. Kaine is also as intelligent as Spider-Man, and, presumably, has the same level of creativity and knowledge of chemistry. While he does not use web-shooters, he is capable of creating and using them should he choose to do so.  Kaine knows how to speak a little bit of Spanish and Japanese.

Equipment:

  • Spider-Man's Stealth Suit: Modified by Madame Web so that it's stuck in its red and black color scheme, which allows him to turn invisible and be invulnerable to sonic attacks. Serves as his Scarlet Spider costume
  • Spider-Tracers: At one point, Peter gifted Kaine a handful of Spider-Tracers. Since he lacks the Spider-Sense which makes it possible for Peter to track them, Kaine uses them in conjunction with an electronic listening device

Mileena

Real Name: Mileena

First appearance: Mortal Kombat II (April, 1993)

Origin/Backstory: Mileena was magically created by Shao Kahn's sorcerers to be Kitano's "twin" sister.  She was not only one of Shao Kahn's personal assassins, but she was also tasked with keeping an eye on her "sister." Although Mileena was always jealous of Kitana's beauty and wanted her birthright for her own.  When Kitana discovered the truth about her parents, Shao Kahn feared for the worst and sent Mileena to spy on her.  She discovered that Kitana was conspiring with the Earth warriors and attacked her, in which she died.  She descended into the Netherealm where the evil sorcerer, Shannon, rules.  When Shao Kahn tried to resurrect her, Shinnok allowed her to leave with the ability to read Kitana's thoughts. After Shao Kahn's invasion failed, Shinnok summoned her back to the Netherealm.  During Shinnok's assault on the Heavens, Shinnok resurrected Mileena in return for her aid. She used this opportunity to attack Kitana and prove her superiority, however she was defeated and locked in an Edenian dungeon.  When Onaga, the Dragon King, returned, Baraka freed Mileena and Onaga ordered her to take the place of her deceased sister and control her armies, even fooling the remaining Earth warriors. Taking her own actions, she stormed Shao Kahn's fortress and took it over.  However, her rule over Outworld was short-lived as Shao Khan, Shang Tsung, and Goro stormed the fortress. Mileena surrendered and Shao Kahn sent her to retrieve Shujunko in hopes of using him to gain Onaga as an ally.

Here are powers, abilities, skills, and weapons:

  • Being Kitana's clone, Mileena possesses equal combat strength, aptitude and agility. What separates her from Kitana, though, is her weapon of choice as well as her secret weapon. She displays sufficient skill with the sai as much as Kitana does with her fans. Her secret weapon, however, is her Tarkatan blood.  As shown in Mortal Kombat (2011), Mileena possesses a pink mystical flame and this appears when she executes her signature moves, including the Rolling Thunder, Soaring Sai and Kick from Above.

Battle Breakdown: So we have a clone of Spider-Man vs. a clone of Mileena.  This is an interesting battle at least IMO because they are darker reflections of their genetic templates.  I will tell you guys right now that this will be a bloody battle.  Whoever wins will not walk away cleanly.

So tell me, who do you guys think will win, Scarlet Spider (Kaine) or Mileena.

I hope you guys enjoy this matchup.  Peace and once again Happy New Year.

Hello Ladies & Germs,

I hope you enjoyed the first one because this one I think is a fight you all are going to really like.

Today, I pin the likes of:

Black Panther                                                    VS.                    Baraka

SO LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!!

Black Panther

Real Name: T'Challa

First Appearance: Fantastic 4 Vol. 1 #52 (July, 1966)

Origin: Long ago, a huge meteorite made of a rare mineral now known as Vibranium, crash landed in Wakanda.  The first king of Wakanda, Black Panther Bashenga, harnessed the mineral and used it to nurture his nation. Thousands of years later, under the ruling of Black Panther T'Chaka, Wakanda's level of technological and economic achievements continued to excel far beyond those of the modern world.  T'Chaka concealed Wakanda from the rest of world to prevent it from being manipulated by outsiders. His first wife, N'Yami, died while in labor with Prince T’Challa. Years later, a Dutch scientist named Ulysses Klaw, found a way into Wakanda, created a vibranium sound-based weapon, and used it to kill King T’Chaka. Prince T’Challa, only a child at the time, managed to turn the sound weapon on Klaw, destroying his right hand. Klaw fled the country, exposed Wakanda to the outside world, and vowed revenge. Prince T'Challa would later become king after defeating his uncle, King S'yan,   in a once-a-year ritual that allowed anyone of Wakandan royalty to become king/queen by defeating the current ruler in hand-to-hand combat. Given the fact that the ruling Black Panther possessed enhanced and superhuman abilities from digesting the Wakandan Heart Shaped Herb, the chance of an average man defeating a Black Panther was slim. However, T’Challa succeeded. He also digested the Heart-shaped Herb, which gave him superhuman senses and provided him with enhanced agility, strength, and over all physical capability.

Here are his powers, abilities, skills, weapons, and equipment:

  • Black Panther Knowledge: T'Challa has the power to draw all the knowledge, strength, and every experience from every previous Black Panther.
  • Superhumanly Acute Senses: T'Challa can see with greater clarity and greater distances than any ordinary human.  His vision extends into the ultraviolet and infrared areas of the electromagnetic spectrum, allowing him to see in near-total darkness and retain the same level of clarity.  hearing is similarly enhanced, enabling him to detect sounds normal humans can't and sounds they ordinarily could but at much greater distances.  can memorize tens of thousands of scents. His sense of smell enables him to recognize people/objects by scent, even if they are well hidden. He can track a target by scent and track them to the exact location, can smell fear, and detect if someone is lying by change in body odor. T'Challa's sense of taste is sensitive to the point that he is able to taste the exact ingredients of any particular food he is eating.
  • Peak Human Strength: T'Challa's strength is enhanced to the peak of human potential. He received a blessing from the Panther Goddess Bast, which elevated his strength between peak human and superhuman levels. His physical strength is noticeably superior to any Olympic-class weightlifter and far superior to normal humans, allowing him to press lift approximately 800 lbs (363 kgs).  His legs extends with his strength enabling him to leap approximately 10 feet off the ground and 15 feet in a standing broad jump.
  • Peak Human Speed: T'Challa is able to run and move at speeds superior to any Olympic-class runners. At peak capacity, he is capable of reaching speeds up to 35 mph.  He has the ability to attack faster than the eye can follow. His combat speed seems more enhanced then anything else, as he has frequently kept up with other enemies in combat, and blitzed people before they pull their trigger fingers.
  • Peak Human Stamina: T'Challa's body eliminates the excessive build-up of fatigue-producing poisons in his muscles and his musculature generates considerably less fatigue toxins than the muscles of an ordinary human being, granting him exceptional endurance, and lung capacity. He can physically exert himself at peak capacity for an hour before fatigue toxins begin to impair him. His lung capacity is at the peak human levels, enabling him to hold his breath underwater for 6 minutes.
  • Peak Human Durability: His skin, muscle, and bone tissues are augmented to levels that are much denser and harder than normal humans, making him far more durable and resistant to damage to various degrees.
  • Peak Human Regeneration:  T'Challa's enhanced healing speed and capabilities allows him to have a conditioned metabolism and immune system that enables extraordinarily efficient healing.
  • Peak Human Agility: T'Challa's equilibrium, balance, flexibility, dexterity, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels superior to any Olympic-level athlete that has ever competed. This gives him cat-like agility.
  • Peak Human Reflexes: T'Challa's reaction time are beyond the natural limits of an Olympic-level athlete, allowing him to dodge multiple gunfire at point-blank range with ease.  He has been noted to have reflexes faster than an actual panther.
  • Necromancy: T'Challa is able to take command of the dead itself. He was able to take control of an entire army of zombies, and order the spirits of the Necropolis to aid him in his fight with Tetu.
  • Spirit Energy Constructs: T'Challa learned he could create weapons out of spiritual force through his title as King of the Dead.  T'Challa learned he could create weapons out of spiritual force through his title as King of the Dead.
  • Hyper-Cosmic Awareness: T'Challa's exposure to Galactus's mind before and after his transition from the devoured to seeder of worlds due to his odd means of warping to his world ship, he began experiencing visions in his dreams and day to day life.  He was beginning to see and sense the cage around the Marvel Universe, and the goings on outside it in the Multiverse as well.  An unknown effect that intake of the Heart Shaped Herb has, is that it also connects the head of the Panther Tribe to the precious metal which mutated it. Kings of the secret nation possess a sixth sense for the unique energy signature Vibranium gives off, letting them know when it is stolen out from Wakanda and where it's thieves are headed with it.
  • Genius Level Intelligence: T'Challa is a polymath genius and has an eidetic (aka photographic) memory.[21] His knowledge of physics and engineering ranks him among the top eight intellects of the world. He possesses accomplishments such as a PhD in physics from Oxford University. He also combined alchemy with science to create a new scientific field called Shadow Physics, a dangerous discipline which allowed him to track Vibranium on a quantum level, craft weapons which would be particularly effective against Vibranium, and create an unstable teleportation device which at the time ripped apart anyone using it with great healing ability.
  • Master Martial Artist: T'Challa has been groomed to be a warrior since birth. He is a master in practically all forms of armed and unarmed combat, having mastered various styles of martial arts from around the world. He is considered to be one of the best martial artists to have ever walked the Earth. He has stalemated, and at times even gained the upper hand against various highly skilled martial artists such as Captain America, Daredevil, Iron Fist, and many other dangerous opponents in hand-to-hand combat. He was able to overpower Wolverine twice without much difficulty, even when Wolverine was using his claws. Captain America himself said that when he won against T'Challa, T'Challa was not his usual self, seeming weaker than he actually was. He was shown to be skilled enough to defeat the skilled combatant Karnak, with a single blow to the head.
  • Master Acrobat: T'Challa is a rigorously trained gymnast and acrobat.
  • Expert Marksman: He is a master marksman adept with hunting knives, firearms, and other projectile weaponry.
  • Master Tactician: T'Challa is a genius tactician, strategist, and leader who is practically peerless.  He was taught tactics and strategies in his youth by his father who encouraged him to always think two steps ahead of his enemies and three steps ahead of his friends. His prowess is such that he is able to out think and out maneuver individuals such as Tony Stark, and other geniuses.
  • Expert Tracker & Hunter: Even without his superhuman senses, T'Challa is a master tracker and hunter. He can pick up a prey's scent and memorize tens of thousands of individual ones.
  • Multilingual: T'Challa can fluently speak his native language, English, and other various languages.
  • Master Inventor: He can invent various devices with special properties when needed. He possesses engineering abilities and intellect that makes him a peer and has proven to be able to invent and create weaponry that rivals their engineering capabilities. T'Challa can also duplicate practically any other technologies after learning how they work or by glancing at the designs.
  • Highly Influential Connections: As king of Wakanda, the Panther has access to a vast collection of magical artifacts, technological and military hardware, as well as the support of his nation's wide array of scientists, adventurers, and superheroes.
  • Diplomatic Immunity: As the leader of a sovereign nation, He often visits the United States or the United Nations for political reasons. He enjoys diplomatic immunity during these trips, and his embassy is considered foreign soil.

Equipment and Weapons:

  • Panther Habit: As chieftain of the Wakandan Panther Clan, the ruler is crowned with a ceremonial regalia in the form of a Vibranium laced panther habit. T'Challa received this crown-like garb after being judged by the Panther Goddess. The appearance of the suit has changed over time, but has retained its ability to absorb vibrations via its Vibranium lacing, as well as negate or lessen powerful kinetic based attacks such as bullets shots, penetrating blades, and crushing blows. The lenses in the mask cut glare and enhance the Panther's natural night vision, and allow him to see in infra-red and other visual spectrum. The suit features:
  • Vibranium Microweave Mesh: The microweave robs incoming objects of their momentum; bullets do not ricochet off, but simply fall to the ground when they come in contact with the weave. Likewise, the Panther cannot be stabbed; however, the costume can be cut if the attacker slashes along the uniform's grain.
  • Anti-Metal Claws: The Claws in the gloves are made of Antarctic Vibranium-based "Anti-Metal" that can break down basically all metals at the molecular level.
  • Energy Dampening Boots: Energy regulators create varying fields from the Vibranium in the molded soles of the boots, enabling Panther to land soundlessly without any injury from heights of 50 feet. Given enough momentum, the Panther can also scale walls or skim across water. The field can be also used offensively to shatter or weaken objects, or defensively to rob incoming objects of their momentum as shown when he stopped a car thrown by the Hulk from crushing him by using the Vibranium in his boots.
  • Disguise Technology: The cloak can be elongated, shortened or eliminated with a thought, and the entire costume can be reconfigured by a light energy pulse allowing it to pass as normal street clothes, or render T'Challa completely invisible.
  • Teleportation device: T'Challa has also been shown using a teleportation device as part of his standard gear.  The range is not known as of this moment.
  • Hard-light Shielding: T'Challa was shown using a small shield comprised of hardened light, to defend himself and others as part of his standard gear.
  • Vibranium energy daggers:  Energy constructed blades, the wielder has the ability to gauge between power levels, releasing a beam, powerful enough to slice through various structures and foes. This weapon can also be fired as a projectile. Energy daggers are T'Challa's default weapon of choice in armed combat situations.
  • Force Push: T'Challa can use the stored kinetic energy in his suit to either enhance his strikes or release it as an omnidirectional energy burst.
  • Heavenly Armor: Lightweight body armor covering the user from head to toe in a similar fashion as Iron Man that operates by thought. It offers flight at high speeds, enhanced strength, and more protection in combat. The armor provides protection against mystical attacks and is equipped with various weapons.
  • Vibranium Armor: A special armor used during the Superhuman Civil War.

Baraka

Real Name: Baraka

First Appearance: Mortal Kombat II (April, 1993)

Backstory: Baraka is commonly depicted as a more intelligent creature that is also an effective leader he is also very arrogant and vicious.  He belongs to a race called the Tarkata, a crossbread between demons of the Netherealm and denizens of Outward.  Like the rest of his kind, he has retractable blades protruding from his forearms and is likely to be found roaming the wastelands of Outland while following a powerful leader who can lead his race to victory.

Here are his powers, abilities, and skills:

  • As a Tarkatan, Baraka possesses greater stamina and fighting power than a normal human, along with his trademark weapon - the Tarkatan blades that extend from his forearms. He is also shown in many cases to have a highly acute sense of smell, as he can tell the true identity of targets by their scent, and a potent healing factor, as he was able to survive Kung Lao's Body Slice Fatality in the events of Mortal Kombat Trilogy (though he required giant staples to hold his body together).

Battle Breakdown: TBH with you guys, we have a good one right.  Two vicious fighter from respective fictional universes going at it.  I do not see this fight being one sided at all.  This fight is going to come down to who makes not only the most mistakes, but the biggest mistake.

But, as always, let me know what you guys think.  Is it Black Panther or Baraka

Hope you guys enjoy this matchup.  Peace Out.

This one is tough.

I was going to say Black Panther, because he has a high chance of winning, but......

Baraka might win. Because anytime they destroy Baraka, he returns way worse than before. Baraka it is.

Told ya it was going to be a tough fight.  As for Baraka, he's dead right now due to D'Vorah, but we'll see what they do to him in MK 11.

Thank you again for participating musicboy.

@MasterOfAwesomeness& @sateler96, do you guys have any thoughts on this matchup or the previous fight?

Okay Ladies and Gentlemen,

Today's matchup is:

1430104991_She-Hulk(Lyra).thumb.jpg.45d4f51328cc9c5828ce92ade44cf158.jpg                                                                       Sheeva.thumb.jpg.35203151c487f5561b332639cc8034c1.jpg

She-Hulk (Lyra)                                                            VS.                                                 Sheeva

LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!!

She-Hulk

Real Name: Lyra

First Appearance: Hulk: Raging Thunder Vol.1 #1 (June 11, 2008)

Origin: Earth-8009 was in its 23rd Century. It was indicated that there was a mass sterility to the people of this time, and that, at some point in the past, ("Back-in-the-day") Norman Osborn was responsible for selling superhuman powers to anyone willing to buy them. Seemingly a wasteland after the fallout of some super-human disaster, Earth-8009's populace was split into many factions - those of the men, which were numerous, and those of the women. The Overmen of the past were still worshiped by the Tribes of Men, some worshiping Wolverine or Sentry for example, and dressing/arming themselves accordingly, and had sworn death to those who did not believe.  The United Sisterhood Republic (the women of this time) were seemingly more civilized and less tribal. Instead of many tribes, the Sisterhood came together under their common cause and had a capital city in Milago. The Sisterhood was a more organized collection of females that fended off the men's attacks as well as they could, but feared they needed a larger power on their side to tip the scales in their favor.  Thundra traveled to Earth-616 in search of this time's greatest, most powerful hero. She soon came into contact with the Hulk, finding exactly what she needed. After battling for a while, there was a halt and Thundra explained the troubles of her world to Hulk, eventually kissing him (secretly sampling DNA from his saliva). Immediately afterward she was transported back to her Earth. The G-Engineers of her era spliced the Hulk's DNA with her own, and eventually, Lyra was born. Many sisters viewed Lyra as an outcast; as blasphemy to their ideals. In this world, the populace was derived, on both sides, from 'Cradles'; test-tube incubators. Lyra, however, had both a mother and father.  Lyra was gifted with the strength of her parents and trained as an elite warrior for the Sisterhood.  Lyra was called by Gynosure to head a secretive mission, one not even her select band of warrior compatriots were aware of. The Sisterhood's Cradle was malfunctioning, causing defective births, and without replacement circuitry it would be the end of the Sister's ability to replenish their numbers, eventually leading to their extinction. Lyra was armed with Boudicca, a wristwatch with an artificial intelligence linked to the Sisterhood/Gynosure at all times, and sent to the Men's Cradle to steal the appropriate parts to repair their own Cradle. When a traitor turned on Lyra, seeking to claim the honor for bringing back the piece, it was destroyed in their fight. Lyra returned to Gynosure to confront her for her treachery but was then sent to the 'Back-in-the-Day' time of Earth-616, to seek out their greatest warrior and breed with him.

Here are her powers, abilities, and skills:

  • Superhuman Strength: In a completely calm state, Lyra possesses superhuman strength comparable to that of Jennifer Walters the first She-Hulk. It is known that she is able to lift in excess of 100 tons. Lyra's strength has extended into her highly developed leg muscles, enabling her to leap great distances or heights. She is capable of leaping to a height of over 800 feet and a distance of over 1,500 feet in a single bound.
  • Superhuman Speed: Due, at least partially, to the great muscular strength and development of her leg muscles, she is capable of running and moving at speeds that are beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete.
  • Superhuman Stamina: Lyra's highly advanced musculature produces considerably less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the musculature of an ordinary human. She can exert herself at peak capacity for about 48 hours before fatigue begins to impair her performance.
  • Superhuman Durability: Lyra's body is highly resistant to all forms of conventional injury. Her skin is capable of withstanding extreme pressures, temperatures as high as 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit and as low as -195 degrees Fahrenheit, falls from great heights, field-artillery canon shells, and powerful energy blasts without sustaining any injury.
  • Superhuman Agility: Lyra's agility, balance and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete.
  • Regenerative Healing Factor: Despite her body's extremely high resistance to injury, it is possible to injure her. However, she is capable of rapidly regenerating injuries that result in great tissue damage and blood loss within a matter of minutes. However, she is not capable of regenerating missing limbs or organs. Lyra's highly efficient metabolism renders her immune to all drugs and toxins as well as total immunity to all known Earthly diseases.
  • Gamma Sight: Lyra also has Gamma Sight which allows her to sense someone's weakness, gives her heightened senses, and allows her to fight in a trance state. This ability makes Lyra almost unstoppable.
  • Symbiote-blinding pheromones: In Lyra's time, there is a great "black bloom", which is descended from the Venom symbiote. To counter this, scientists of Lyra's time genetically engineer all girls to emit pheromones, making them invisible to the symbiotes. When Lyra encounters the Mac Gargan Venom in the 616 universe, he cannot see her, and she easily knocks him out.
  • Lyra is the chief arms maiden of her tribe and was trained since childhood in the ways of combat. She has both extensive hand to hand abilities and can wield a variety of weapons with great proficiency.
  • Lyra is a skilled combat tactician, her powers requiring her to remain level headed at all times she can out-think her opponents even when she is outnumbered and outclassed.

Sheeva

Real Name: Sheeva

First Appearance: Mortal Kombat 3 (April 15, 1995)

Origin/Backstory: Sheeva is one of the very few known female Shokan and is also particularly strong and vicious. Her rise to fame and power started when she got appointed as the official bodyguard of Queen Sindel.  She often clashes with her enemy and rival the Centaurian Motaro competing for the favor of Outland's emperor Shao Khan.  In the alternate universe where Queen Sindel suffered a mysterious death in earthrealm Sheeva is now the master jailor of Shao-kahn's dungeons.

Here are her powers, abilities, and skills:

  • As a Shokan, Sheeva possesses incredible strength. She retains the common Shokan ability to summon fireballs and utilize a teleport stomp. However, unlike her fellow Shokan warriors Goro and Kintaro, she can use the latter to merely stomp the ground without teleporting, causing damage. Also, Sheeva's fireballs seem to be more powerful than those of other characters, as evidenced in Armageddon, where they can knock opponents to the ground, rather than simply knocking them back.

Battle Breakdown: So we have two vicious, and highly trained female warriors going at it. This should be interesting because we have female Shokan going up against a female Hulk.  This battle is going to come down to who makes the biggest mistake.

But as always, you guys tell me,who do you think will win and why, Lyra or Sheeva?

Hope you guys enjoy the matchup.  PEACE!!!!

Hercules.                                                      VS.                                                Goro

LETS' GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!!

Hercules

Real Name: Hercules

First Appearance: Journey into Mystery Annual Vol 1 1, October, 1965

History: Similar to that of the Hercules from the Greek mythology.  Once he gained the status of omnipotence, he returned to Earth and began on a quest of heroism.

Here are his powers, abilities, and skills:

  • Olympian/Human Hybrid Physiology: Hercules was inherently born a half-Olympian god from his biological father, Zeus, king of the Olympian gods and half-human from his biological mother, Alumina.  As an infant,  he was breastfed by his step-mother, Hera, Queen of the Olympian Gods, who nurtured him with her divine breast milk which vastly increased his physiology to god-like levels.  Hercules' physiology is known to be the strongest of his race, and possesses god-like strength, invulnerability, god-level stamina, immortality, regenerative healing, near god-levels of speed and reflexes, etc.
  • God-like Strength: Hercules' principal power is his god-like strength, and he is physically the strongest of all the existing Olympians.  As the Olympian God of raw strength, Hercules' strength is unlimited, making him one of the strongest and most powerful heroes in the Marvel Universe.  He is capable of accomplishing many god-like strength feats, such as lifting and hurling a giant sequoia or a redwood tree with his bare hands, carrying a starship, lifting and tossing Godzilla, dragging the island of Manhattan, or lifting the entire Manhattan from the ground, and holding the same island of Manhattan together for an extended period of time, and knocking out a powerful Titan with two mighty blows. Hercules' strength combined with his combat skills, has enabled him to rival against the Hulk who at the time was battling Hercules and they were evenly matched during their fight in Olympus realm, Sentry who was easily overpowered by Hercules due to his vast strength and speed in hand to hand combat, and Thor who at the time was unable to break free from Hercules' grip as he was forced to strike a huge lightning bolt at Hercules to save his own life. Hercules was able to close dimension portals with him and Thor used their godlike strength blows.  He also sent Zeus flying through multiple large trees with few of his mighty blows.  During the Superhuman Civil War, in a state of rage, Hercules was able to overpower Doc Samson, She-Hulk, and Spider-Man at the same time while throwing them aside, and then later able to deprive Ragnarok of his weapon and kill him with it.  He was able to knock the Abomination down with a single blow and easily overpowered The Thing during their wrestling match.  He also overpowered Atlas by knocking him down with several blows.  His most impressive feat of strength was to lift and hold the heavens themselves, which happened in the mythological era including its astronomical objects such as stars, plants, and etc.
  • Superhuman Leaping: Hercules' great strength extends to his powerful leg muscles, allowing him to jump great distances and heights, although they do not match those of the Hulk.  However, while the exact limit is unknown, he is capable of leaping a height of at least 100 feet in Earth's gravity.
  • Superhuman Shockwave clap: Hercules possesses a tremendous shockwave clap.  His powerful clap allows him to extinguished an inferno and obliterate a destructive energy tornado
  • Superhuman Speed: Hercules is capable of running and moving at speeds beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athletes and most Olympian gods except for his half-brother, Hermes.  He was able to at least match his speed against the likes of Thor and Sentry, both of whom he has held his own against in hand to hand combat.  Hercules was fast enough to capture Sentry who is capable of flying faster than hypersonic speeds.
  • Superhuman Reflexes: Hercules' reflexes are in levels beyond the natural physical limits of a human being.  His reaction speed allows him to easily catch a speeding missile.
  • Nigh-Invulnerability: Hercules is super-humanly durable/practically invulnerable making him extremely resistant to nearly all forms of blunt force, penetration and energy assaults. His extremely high level of durability/invulnerability is a product of being born a demigod son of Zeus, being suckled by Hera as an infant and finally, upon his mortal death, being made a full-fledged immortal god by his father Zeus. Due to these factors he has greater resistance to physical injury/harm than any other Olympian god except his father Zeus, and possibly his uncles Neptune and Pluto. Hercules is able to withstand the impact of high caliber machine gun shells, direct hits from S.H.I.E.L.D anti-aircraft missiles, falls from incredible heights, exposure to extreme temperatures and the vacuum of space without sustaining injury or being harmed in any way. Hercules has withstood powerful cosmic energy blasts from Nova (Frankie Raye), a Herald of Galactus, without sustaining injury, and was able to survive two blank-point blasts from the man-god, Michael Korvac.
  • Regenerative Healing Factor: Despite his great resilience, it is possible to injure Hercules. However, like all members of his race, he is capable of recovering from injuries with superhuman speed and efficiency.  However, he is unable to regenerate missing limbs or organs unless he used magical assistance to do so. Hercules is also immune to all known Earthly diseases and infections. He is highly resistant to most drugs and toxins but can be affected if exposed to great quantities.
  • Immortality: As the son of Zeus, the immortal Olympian god, and Alcmena, a mortal queen, Hercules was born a half-god/half-human demigod which meant he was mortal. Because of the many heroic deeds he performed while a demigod, and Zeus' further need of a champion to defend and protect both gods and mankind, Hercules earned full-godhood and true immortality upon his death. As an Olympian god, Hercules is immortal and although he can be wounded or injured, he cannot die by conventional means. Another power Hercules gained when becoming a god is an exceptionally rapid, superhuman healing rate, which allows him to recover very quickly any time he actually is wounded or injured. Hercules is immune to all conventional/mortal diseases and maladies. Due to his godhood/immortality and durability, Hercules is almost impossible to kill. Only an assault that incinerated him or dispersed a major portion of his bodily molecules could conceivably kill Hercules. but even then Zeus or another god of comparable power might still be able to resurrect him. As a true Olympian immortal Hercules doesn't age and remains perpetually at the peak of his physical youth, strength and power despite the fact he is well over 3,000 years old.
  • Superhuman Stamina: As an Olympian god all of Hercules' physical abilities are superhuman, though in his case they are enhanced to a greater extent than nearly all other Olympians. This includes his endurance. Hercules' body produces no fatigue poisons, granting him practically endless superhuman stamina and making him virtually tireless. He was able to hold the weight of the heavens upon his shoulders for three straight hours without tiring. Hercules does not fatigue after any exertion, no matter how strenuous or it's length of duration. In addition to these powers, Hercules also possesses superhuman agility (agility greater than that of any professional or Olympic athlete; greater than what is humanly possible), superhuman reflexes and a measure of superhuman speed and quickness.
  • Expertise in Combat: Hercules is Olympus' greatest warrior and champion. When he was still a demigod in ancient Greece, Hercules co-invented, along with Theseus, the first all-encompassing fighting system in human history: Pankration. Pankration is quite similar to mixed martial arts of modern times, as both combine several separate hand-to-hand combat techniques, though the methods used in Pankration were much more brutal and even deadly than modern techniques. As the co-inventor and a centuries-long practitioner of Pankration, Hercules is an expert in many styles of hand-to-hand combat. These include; boxing, wrestling, joint locks, submission holds and the combining of and transitioning between these varied techniques. He has practiced, honed and perfected his fighting skills for over three millennia, thoroughly mastering them. Thor himself has admitted Hercules is his better in hand-to-hand combat. Hercules is also highly skilled in athletics such as the discus, the javelin and the hammer throw.  Hercules is a master archer; his godly attributes combined with centuries of training have made him superior to nearly any Earth-born archer. His archery skills are even said to surpass master bowmen such as Hawkeye and Trickshot. Hercules is highly skilled in the arts of boxing and Greco-Roman wrestling (even causing the Thing to submit). Also, Hercules is a very accomplished melee fighter. He has had centuries of training, practice and experience with many types of weapons including but not limited to battle axes and long swords.  He has also wielded a Golden Mace, which was made out of Adamantine.
  • Allspeak: Like all Olympians of his race, Hercules can understand and communicate in all languages, Earth's dialects, and various alien languages.

Goro

Real Name: Goro

First Appearance: Mortal Kombat (1992)

Origin/Backstory: Goro is the Prince of the of Shokan race, half-man and half-dragon creatures with four arms which reside in the realm of Outworld. Goro tries to bring honor to his race by serving Shao Kahn, the emperor of Outworld. Goro is one of Kahn's favorite warriors because of his brute strength and brutality. Goro has been the champion of Mortal Kombat for nine generations until he was defeated by the Chinese Earthrealm warrior: Liu Kang.  After Shang Tsung's defeat in Mortal Kombat by the Great Kung Lao, Shao Kahn sent Goro to participate in the next tournament where he defeated the Great Kung Lao and became the new champion of Mortal Kombat, prompting Shao Kahn to hold the Shokans in his favor. Goro would keep his title for 900 years until his defeat by Liu Kang. He'd later apparently die during a battle with Johnny Cage, Kano, and Sonya, but he wasn't really dead, rather he went into seclusion to reflect on his defeat.  He'd return to seek a rematch against Liu Kang, however the alarming news of his people's war with the Centaurians called his attention. It was during this time that Kitana was able to make a peace treaty between Edenia and Kuatan, despite being interrupted by Kung Lao whom wanted revenge for Goro murdering the Great Kung Lao. Kung Lao left a scar on Goro's chest and the two considered themselves even. Goro and the Shokans would ally with Kitana against Shao Kahn, but Goro would be struck down during battle against Noob Saibot. After the revival of the Dragon King, Shao Kahn would find himself saving Goro's life despite trying to end it earlier. Out of honor, Goro was in Shao Kahn's debt and aided him against the Dragon King.

Here are his powers, abilities, and skills:

  • Goro is one of the most powerful warriors in the history of Mortal Kombat, being able to win 9 consecutive Mortal Kombat tournaments, as well as defeating the Great Kung Lao in his first tournament - which Shang Tsung, in his younger form failed to do. He also served as commander of Outworld's armies, crushing rebellions and aiding in the conquer of many new realms for the Emperor.  Goro's fighting style always revolved around taking advantage of his brute strength and surprising agility. In the early games, Goro was an imbalanced character. All of his moves did far more damage than all of the other characters, and because of that, he was notoriously difficult to defeat in the first game. In the 3D games, he was toned down to make him more balanced. His current depiction is being powerful, but slow. Goro is associated with the element of Fire. Like Kintaro, he could either project fireballs either from his mouth or his hands. In Shaolin Monks, he was able to shoot one fireball from each hand. He could also manipulate fire in his hands if he needed to attack using them.

Battle Breakdown: This is an interesting battle IMO you have two powerhouse warriors going at it.  This battle is going to come down to a level of strength and endurance.

But as always, let me know of what you guys think.  Is it Hercules or Goro?  Peace!!!

Yeah, Lyra is an interesting character and much different than that of the She-Hulk we all know and love in Jen Walters.

I hope you are all having a good week and all.

Today's Fantasy Fight matchup is:

Abomination.thumb.jpg.296d311d174bfa1cf0c510097a976d10.jpg                                                                             Kintaro.thumb.png.5543b32adc3fda510b5264b33bf032d0.png

Abomination                                                                      VS.                                                  Kintaro

SO LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!!!

Abomination

Real Name: Emil Blonsky

First Appearance: Tales to Astonish Vol. 1 #90 (April, 1967)

Origin: The history of one of Hulk’s greatest enemies, the Abomination, began with the Yugoslavian spy known as Emil Blonsky. A man who fought for his country and their ideals, Emil was a married man who loved and cherished his talented wife with her stage dancing After being given a specific mission to travel to the United States and infiltrate one of their military bases to sabotage all nuclear warheads, missiles, and any other equipment that would give the U.S the upper hand for a possible upcoming war, Emil enjoyed one last supper with his wife Nadia before leaving with the promise of returning to her. After managing to enter the US with a partner known as Bogatin and infiltrate an Air Force Base within New Mexico while taking the disguise of an MP, Blonsky also found himself stumbling onto the same base where Dr Bruce Banner (Hulk) usually conducts his gamma radiation experiments. Even though Blonsky was designated to fulfill his primary mission, this plan changed when the alien entity known as the Stranger made the attempt of using the Hulk as a means to destroy humanity after deeming humanity irresponsible. When Hulk reverted back into Banner, because of how the Stranger had no control over Banner, he attempted to prevent the Stranger’s goal on controlling the Hulk by committing suicide. Banner tried to go about doing this by using a machine that would bombard Banner with enough gamma radiation to where it would kill both him and the Hulk, also unaware that Blonsky was hidden within the room and secretly recording Banner’s actions. But before using the machine, Banner was escorted from the laboratory by security and General Ross, leaving Blonsky alone with the radiation machine. Because of curiosity, Blonsky who was unaware of the machines design and nature, stood in front of the machine before activating it. Being bombarded with great amounts of gamma radiation, Blonsky went through a mutagenetic effect that rapidly transformed him into a massive and hideously looking monster.  Blonsky’s transformation found itself driving him into a state of shock and rage that resulted with the Air Force Base being under attack by Blonsky, and which also resulted with Banner being transformed into the Hulk. The two fought, with Blonsky easily defeating the Hulk, beating him within an inch of his life. It was also during this time where Blonsky earned the name Abomination from the horrified Betty Ross, who was also kidnapped by the monster after the battle. After being revived, Hulk reverted back to Banner who instantly designed a machine that would decrease Abomination’s strength, managing to do so, Banner accidentally reverted back into the Hulk again and pursued after Abomination. As both Hulk and Abomination pursued in another brawl, both monsters were unaware that the Stranger was watching. Resulting with the battle ending when the Stranger interrupted the fight and taking Abomination so that he could use him as an agent for his own purposes, thus ending the Abomination's rampage. Even though Bogatin was aware of Emil's transformation, as to what happened to him or where he went after the whole ordeal remains unknown. Emil's wife, Nadia never learned from her husbands transformation and assumed that he died during his mission, leaving Nadia to spend a great portion of her years believing herself to be a widow.

Here are his powers, abilities, and skills:

  • Gamma Radiation: The gamma radiation that mutated the Abomination's body fortified his cellular structure and added, from some as yet unknown source, over 800 pounds of bone marrow and tissue to his body. Unlike the Hulk's, the Abomination's transformation has proved stable; he cannot change back and forth between his human state and his superhuman state.
  • Vast Superhuman Strength: The Abomination possesses superhuman strength enabling him to lift approximately "Class 100".[1] Although the Abomination's strength surpasses that of certain classic incarnations of the Hulk such as Mr. Fixit (Class 70) or the Green Savage Hulk (Class 90), the Abomination's strength does not fluctuate like the Hulk's. Hence, while the Abomination may be stronger than a "calm" Hulk, when enraged Hulk's strength level rapidly reaches and exceeds the Class 100+ level possessed by Blonsky. The Abomination's great strength also extends into the highly developed and powerful muscles of his legs, enabling him to leap great distances.
  • Superhuman Stamina: The Abomination's highly advanced musculature produces vastly less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the musculature of an ordinary human. He is capable of physically exerting himself at peak capacity for several days before the build up of fatigue toxins in his blood begins to impair him
  • Superhuman Durability/Nigh-Invulnerability: In addition to great strength, the Abomination's bodily tissues are substantially harder and more resistant to injury than the tissues of an ordinary human. The Abomination's skin is capable of withstanding great heat without blistering, great cold without freezing, and great impacts without injury. His body is also capable of withstanding tremendous impact forces, such as artillery shells and powerful energy blasts, without sustaining injury.
  • Regenerative Healing Factor: Despite his great physical resilience, it is possible to injure him. However, he possesses an accelerated healing factor similar to that possessed by the Hulk. As a result, he is capable of regenerating great amounts of damaged or destroyed tissue with much greater speed and efficiency than an ordinary human. While the full extent of his healing powers are unknown they are inferior to those of the Hulk since the Hulk's healing powers, much like his strength, increases as he becomes angrier. The Abomination is also immune to all known Earthly diseases and infections.
  • Gamma Radiation/Energy Manipulation and Emission: After his reconstitution by The Order, the cloned abomination was given the ability to generate varying levels of Gamma Radiation of an incredibly toxic variety. Enough to overwhelm the Hulk, Captain Marvel, and Sunspot; heroes all known for absorbing most forms of energy to date.
  • Underwater Breathing: The Abomination's lung capacity is higher than the Hulk's, allowing him to breathe underwater for longer periods of time.
  • Suspended Animation: Extreme pain, cold, or extended lack of oxygen can cause the Abomination to enter a coma-like state of suspended animation, in which he can survive, perhaps indefinitely.
  • Hulk-Tracking: According to the Order of the Shield, they added a feature that enables Abomination to track down the Hulk.
  • Emil Blonsky was a skilled spy prior to his transformation into the Abomination. He is also a formidable hand to hand combatant, preferring to use street fighting techniques that enable him to make full use of his great strength.

Kintaro

Real Name: Kintaro

First Appearance: Mortal Kombat II (April, 1993)

Origin:

Kintaro is a part of the Shokan race from the realm of Kuatan. Although unlike other Shokans, Kintaro descends from a rare lineage known for it's brutality.  Kintaro is the supreme commander of Shao Kahn's armies and his authority is second only to that of Shao Kahn's.  After hearing of Goro's "death" in the Mortal Kombat Battle Wave series, Kintaro had sworn revenge against the Earth warriors who are responsible for Goro's apparent death. Kintaro distinguishes himself from other shokan by having catlike features such as digitigrade feet, claws, luminous eyes, slitlike pupils, and tiger striped fur.  It is also revealed that in the Mortal Kombat battle wave series Kintaro always knew Goro was never dead, that he never beleived it and that he beleives only he,only the scourge of outworld could kill him.

Here are his powers, abilities, and skills:

  • Like any other Shokan, Kintaro boasts brute strength, stamina and prowess. Unlike his brethren, Kintaro hails from a subspecies specializing in savagery. Combined with savage style of kombat and mercilessness makes him one of the most lethal kombatants on the battleground. Other than that, he shares similar powers to Goro, but is considerably more nimble.

Battle Breakdown: This fight is going to come down to not only strength, endurance, and durability, but skill as well.  You know, to see which one is the better fighter and strategist of the two.

But, as always I leave it up to you guys.  Who do you think takes this fight? Abomination or Kintaro?

PEACE!!!!

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

Sorry for the delay, I was busy with some stuff.  Nonetheless, here is the next fight.

Loki.jpg.856838053a483992553688659f94a689.jpg                                                           1412562398_ShangTsung.thumb.jpg.abdbd89475fbc0406f6b7ec0addb1db3.jpg

Loki                                                                                 VS.                                           Shang Tsung

LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!!!

Loki

Real Name: Loki Laufeyson

First Appearance: Journey Into Mystery Vol. 1 #85 (October, 1962)

Origin & Backstory: Loki is the birth son of the Frost Giant Laufey, the former King of the Ice realm. Odin declared war and killed Laufey. When Odin saw Loki as a baby, he adopted him - This began a prophecy foretold by Odin's father, Bor.  Loki was not like his brother Thor, He proved to be a mischievous child, and was often also jealous of the affection Odin showed his older brother Thor. He began studying Asgardian magic and science, both of which he would become very proficient in, eventually becoming one of the strongest sorcerers in the Asgard. Loki is well known for cutting off the long, golden hair of Thor's love, Sif. He was forced by Thor to restore it. Loki then enlisted two dwarves to do so, but when he refused to pay them, they made new, black hair, out of nothing.  In his youth, Loki tried again and again to gain advantage over his older brother Thor. Odin sent Thor, Balder, and Sif out in search of materials for a sword. Loki followed them secretly, but found that an evil goddess was about to attack, and was forced to alert them instead of stopping them. Meanwhile, Odin loved Thor so much that he was preparing his greatest gift to the young Thor. When Thor turned eight, Odin had a magical hammer created, an amazingly powerful one - Mjolnir. Loki was jealous, and he showed his first signs of evil. He interfered with Mjolnir while it was still being made-he caused the handle to be made too short. As a boy, he wanted Mjolnir's power which would someday be Thor's and often tried to steal it.  This all had an effect on Loki. He grew angrier with each passing day, he was truly becoming evil. His hate for Thor and desire to rule Asgard manifested along with his sorcery and mischief. He became jaded and evil. He finally made a vow-to be the most powerful god in Asgard, and to kill his brother Thor.

Here are his powers, abilities, and skills:

  • Superhuman Strength: Loki, without the aid of anything, through his own biology, possesses superhuman strength that is substantially superior to that of an average Asgardian male. He possesses sufficient physical strength to lift up to 50 tons.  It is possible, however, that he can further increase his strength through mystical enchantment on a temporary basis. Similarly to Thor, it has recently been listed at a higher level than originally, without aid.  He once even managed to destroy a large building with a single punch.
  • Superhumanly Dense Tissue: Like Asgardians, Loki's bodily tissues have roughly 3 times the density of the same tissues in a human being. While he has the looks and physical proportions of a much smaller person, the increased density of his body actually makes him several hundred pounds heavier than he appears. This increased density also contributes to his superhuman strength to a limited degree.
  • Superhuman Durability: The tissues of Loki's body are superhumanly durable and are roughly equal to those possessed by the average Asgardian male. However, at times, Loki had imbued himself with magical abilities that enable him to withstand injuries that would prove fatal to another Asgardian if hit. He is able to withstand high caliber bullets, falls from great heights, powerful impact forces, exposure to temperature extremes and powerful energy blasts without being injured. He has proved in past to be durable enough to withstand energy blast's from Mandarin's Rings and several blows from Spider-Man without so much as a blink.
  • Regenerative Healing Factor: Like all Asgardians, Loki, although he is inhumanly durable, at least by human standards, can still obtain injury, also like all Asgardians, his metabolism enables him to rapidly regenerate damaged tissue much faster and more extensively than a human being. However, through the use of his sorcery, Loki's ability to heal himself is far above that of other Asgardians. His magical energies are so imbued into his body that he can reattach severed limbs and, while still a male, even reattached his own head at least once.
  • Superhuman Stamina: Loki's Frost Giant metabolism grants him superhuman levels of physical stamina in practically all activities. He can exert himself at peak capacity for about 24 hours before fatigue begins to impair him. However, much like his physical strength and durability, Loki can temporarily augment his stamina through magical means.
  • Superhuman Longevity: Like all Asgardians, Loki ages at a far slower rate than humans. However, unlike some other god pantheons like the Olympians, who stop ageing completely at a certain point, Loki isn't fully immune to aging. Although he has recently been "reborn", he still has his memories of his previous life. While he is several millenia old, at least, he has the appearance and vitality of a young Asgardian man in his physical prime. Loki is immune to the effects of all known Earthly diseases and infections.
  • Sorcery: Loki has extensive training in sorcery, giving him the ability to generate and control a great quantity of mystical abilities for a variety of purposes. His magical abilities are equal to Karnilla, the most skilled sorceress in the Asgardian dimension.  He has also once used his magic to turn Invisible Woman's psionic shields against herself, and has been able to break free of Celestial technology in possession of Apocalypse. Loki has also imbued himself with magical abilities that enable him to withstand injuries that would prove fatal to another Asgardian, such as being beheaded by Balder. He has also been shown to be immune to the Controller's control disk, the mental influence of the Voice, and the power-sapping abilities of Rogue. Loki’s power has been said by the Silver Surfer during their early encounters as sufficient to “decimate a planet".
  • Telekinesis: Being a telekinetic, Loki can influence the movement of objects and people with his mind, and as such, this power proves to be devastating and chaotic in nature.
  • Mystical Energy Blasts: Loki can project powerful beams of concussive force.
  • Mystical Force Fields: He can generate highly durable force fields.
  • Illusion Casting: His illusion casting can fool cities, and powerful entities such as Surtur.
  • Teleportation: Loki has the ability to teleport himself or others across dimensions.
  • Psionics: Loki has demonstrated powerful psionic capabilities, the full limits of which aren't known. He has demonstrated the ability to project his thoughts telepathically across great distances, even across dimensional barriers, as well as potent hypnotic capabilities. He is able to communicate with beings telepathically, though his ability to do so is greater with beings that serve him.
  • Shape-Shifting: Like a number of gods or goddesses, Loki possesses highly developed shape-shifting capabilities. He is able to adopt almost any form imaginable whether it be animals, other humanoid beings, or even inanimate objects. The thought has been raised that his current form is merely a shape Loki has decided to remain in. Despite this well-known ability of Loki's, he has commented to himself, as he struggled to escape from Dormammu's mystic cage, that this is his "most soul-draining" power, apparently meaning it is more taxing than his other magical abilities. He has become such animals such as a snake, eagle, mouse and bee, gaining the basic natural abilities inherent in each form. While he can take on the likeness of another god, giant or human, he will not necessarily gain the special physical or mental powers of the being he imitates. Loki can also transform external objects into other forms and substances by magic; for instance, he has turned clouds into dragons and even changed cars into ice cream.
  • Physical Enhancement: His magic can be used to further enhance or augment his physical diagram, like his speed, strength, and stamina, but only temporarily.
  • Other Mystical Abilities: Loki can also bring inanimate objects to life and mystically imbue objects or beings with specific but temporary powers, and bestow superhuman attributes to living beings or inanimate objects. For example, Loki has augmented the might of human criminals like Cobra and Sandu. These magical effects remain only for as long as he maintains the spell that created them. Loki has also once cursed Deadpool with an indestructible Tom Cruise's face, which proved to be powerful enough to withstand being run over by a train and direct contact with a nuclear rod without receiving a single scratch.
  • Genius Intelligence: Loki has a genius level intellect and possesses a great deal of knowledge of the mystic arts. He is also extremely cunning and skilled, an expert battle strategist, and highly skilled and charismatic manipulator, which is evident by the ease how Loki repeatedly succeeded to regain the trust of his fellow Asgardians, despite his numerous crimes.
  • Allspeak: Thanks to the Allspeak Loki can communicate in all of the languages of the Nine Realms, Earth's dialects, and various alien languages.
  • Skilled Combatant: Loki is a formidable combatant in his own right, particularly as a swordsman or in the use of his various energy manipulative powers in combat situations, enough to hold his own against Thor on numerous occasions and beat the Disir into (literal) submission.

Shang Tsung

Real Name: Shang Tsung

First Appearance: Mortal Kombat (1992)

Origin: An earthrealm native that discovered a portal to Outworld, Shang Tsung was captured and brought before Shao Kahn. Kahn was able to play on the darkness in Shang Tsung's soul and turn him to his side. Shang Tsung was taught the dark arts at the foot of Emperor Shao Kahn. Tsung learned the art of stealing souls for power though this would cost him dearly. He became cursed to forever steal the souls of his enemies otherwise he would rapidly age and die. Though this curse gave him the unique power to shape shift into his defeated enemies and whoever he was able to sample a soul from.

Here are his powers, abilities, and skills:

  • As mentioned above, Shang Tsung was cursed by mysterious entities identified only as his gods. The curse forcibly decreases his lifespan, unless he takes the souls of others to replenish himself. Shang Tsung's primary objective is to find an infinite source of souls on which to thrive indefinitely. Without souls, his body will rapidly age, wither, and eventually die.

  • However, due to his ability to absorb souls, he has also discovered an unforeseen side effect, granting him the ability to shapeshift into the people whose souls he has taken. The change is more than skin deep as he has access to their memories and powers as well. Shang Tsung is not required to steal a person's soul in order to morph into them, as he took on the form of Kung Lao to sneak up on Liu Kang. As a sorcerer, Shang Tsung wields incredible black magic, most of it provided by Shao Kahn though after the third and second tournaments, this is no longer the case. It would appear that he, when paired with Quan Chi, was able to defeat the Thunder God of Earth, Raiden.

  • Like his rival, Liu Kang, he is associated with the element of fire, able to fire flaming skull-shaped projectiles at his opponent. In addition to his projectiles, he has the ability to create a giant, flaming cobra of fire that easily defeated Raiden (as seen in Deception's opening cinematic). In Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, Shang Tsung could teleport using pools of fire. He can also use his element of fire for sorcery and black magic, such as his ability to create portals as seen in Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks. Early concept sketches of Shang Tsung for Mortal Kombat II revealed that he had a hidden, demonic form.

  • Additionally, Shang possesses knowledge of genetics, having created such biological abominations as Mileena and Meat in his Flesh Pits.

Battle Breakdown: So we have 2 highly powerful and devious sorcerers going at it.  I'd say that this battle would come to strategy and also the power of their own sorcery.  Can Shang Tsung match Koki's sorcery or will Loki's sorcery be too much for Shang Tsung?

But, as always, let me know what you guys think.  Is it Loki or Shang Tsung?  PEACE!!!

Shang Tsung

Goro tells Kano: "He learned the black arts, from the emperor himself."

That alone, explains everything.

Why is @musicboy the only one participating in this thread?  I feel a little disappointed.

I was wondering that too. At least MasterOfAwesomeness, took part.

I guess Akuma got to the rest of them.

Wolverine                                                                                      VS.                                                   D'Vorah

SO LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!!!!

Wolverine

Real Name: James Howlett

First Appearance: The Incredible Hulk Vol. 1 #180 (October, 1974)

Origin & Backstory: The man who would be known as the superhero named Wolverine was born as James Howlett in the mid 1880s in Alberta, Canada. He was the second and sickly child to Elizabeth and John Howlett Sr. His mother was ill and, in the early 1900s, a young Irish girl named Rose O'Hara was brought to the Howlett estate to be a friend and a caretaker to young James. Together they befriended a young boy named Dog, son of the grounds keeper, Thomas Logan. Dog tried to form a normal bond between the two, but due to his father’s resentment and drunken abuse, he grew to resent his station in life; so much so that one day he makes undue advances on Rose, which are reported by young James to his father. This whole chain of events leads to Thomas Logan being sacked from his position as groundskeeper, following which he goes seeking for Elizabeth Howlett, trying to convince her to leave with him. This leads to an altercation that results in the death of John Howlett. The shock of seeing his father murdered in front of him leads to the manifestation of young James’ powers and he stabs Thomas with his newly drawn claws, also slashing Dog across the face before fainting. He and Rose flee the house and make their way through the harsh Canadian wilderness with James near-catatonic and Rose having to facilitate their transportation, while Dog tells the police that Rose was the killer.  They arrive at a mine where Rose gives false names, calling James incorrectly as “Logan.” The other workers dub the revived Logan “the wolverine” because of his penchant for tenaciously digging and begin to accept him as one of their own due to his incredible work ethic. What they don’t know is that by night, he runs in the wild with a pack of wolves that he is cowed the alpha of. Dog arrives one day, having survived his encounter years ago, still holding a massive grudge against Logan. Logan recognizes his erstwhile friend and accepts his challenge to a brawl to the death. Before Logan can kill Dog, however, Rose tries to pull him away and is inadvertently stabbed through the chest, killing her and leaving Logan to mourn alone.  Years later,  before leaving Canada, while in his Lotus Seven, Logan was pumped full of Thorazine, beaten, and kidnapped, by a group of armed men from the Weapon X Project, possibly under Romulus' orders.  The man known only as the Professor, Dr. Abraham Cornelius, and Dr. Carol Hines began to examine Logan while he floated in a containment tank. Logan's skeleton, including his claws, was bonded with the indestructible metal known as adamantium, making it unbreakable, and his personality was buried beneath the most intense brainwashing he had ever undergone.   Logan was then put under deep hypnosis, telling him that he was not a man or individual, and being a man disgusted him.  The Project wanted Logan to believe that he was an obedient animal and that individuality lead to suffering and death. Reduced to a near-mindless state, Logan was forced by Weapon X to slaughter every inhabitant of the small town of Roanoke as a test.  Logan proved too difficult for the Weapon X Program to control and, after some time, he broke free of the programming, fell into a berserker fury and escaped the facility, killing nearly everyone except for the Professor, Dr. Cornelius, Dr. Hines, and Malcolm Colcord, who later became the Director of a new Weapon X Program.  Wolverine's healing factor was probably exhausted by his ordeal, since over the next few years he healed more slowly than ever before.  Driven into savagery by the experiment, Logan wandered the forests of the Canadian Rockies for months, living in a feral state, ironically, not far from the place of his birth. It was during this period Logan saved the life of a creature, known as Hunter in Darkness, one of a race of feral beings apparently mystical in origin. A psychic link of some sort was established between the two, to resurface in later years.  On occasion, Logan's human personality surfaced, to the extent that, years later, he was able to recall pleasant experiences in these woods. Years after this experience, Logan's memories of much of his past would remain clouded, as a result of the Weapon X experiment and additional false memories during the procedure as well.

Here are his powers, abilities, and skills:

  • Enhanced Mutant Physiology:  Wolverine is a mutant who had been given an unbreakable skeleton by the Weapon X Program and augmented by Apocalypse.  Nick Fury's intel classified him as Power Level 9, while the O*N*E classified him as a Severe Threat.
  • Regenerative Healing Factor: Wolverine's primary mutant power is his accelerated healing process that enabled him to regenerate damaged or destroyed tissue with far greater efficiency than an ordinary human.  He can regenerate greatly damaged or destroyed tissue within a few seconds. Wolverine's accelerated healing powers have been commonly referred to as his mutant healing factor. The full extent and speed of Wolverine's healing factor isn't known. He has been shown to fully heal from numerous gunshot wounds, severe burns covering most of his body, and regenerate missing eyes within a matter of seconds.  Among the more extreme depictions of his accelerated healing factor involves him having his skin, muscles, and internal organs incinerated from his skeleton only to fully regenerate the tissue within minutes. He can simply regenerate missing limbs or organs in a matter of hours. Adamantium played a crucial role in the speed of Wolverine's healing as well because of the fact that it produced a poison that his immune system fought off regularly. It is said that without the adamantium, his healing rate would increase.  This power even amends psychological wounds inflicted as a result of traumatic experiences; however, Wolverine's healing powers forces his mind to suppress the memories, sometimes resulting in amnesia. Wolverine sometimes calls this his mental scar tissue. Wolverine's healing factor has cured him from the mystical curse of the Werewolf after he had been bitten and turned into a werewolf, and from vampirism; though it should be noted that the time it took to cure the Werewolf curse was longer than the time it took to cure him from vampirism, when he was infected with vampirism he had also been infected with nanites to temporarily deactivate his healing factor and use him as a 'booby-trap' on the vampires. Wolverine's healing also provides him with an extended lifespan by slowing the effects of the aging process. He retains the health, appearance, and physical vitality of a man in the physical prime of his life, despite being well over 100 years of age.
  • Contaminant Immunity: Wolverine's natural healing also affords him the virtual immunity to poisons, viruses, diseases, and most drugs. For example, it is extremely difficult for him to become intoxicated from alcohol. S.H.I.E.L.D. once managed to keep Wolverine anesthetized by constantly pumping eighty milliliters of anesthetic a minute into his system.
  • Decelerated Aging: In addition, Wolverine's healing factor provides him with an extended lifespan by slowing the effects of the aging process; Wolverine was born sometime during the late 19th Century.  Although well over 100 years of age, Wolverine retains the health, appearance and physical vitality of a man in the physical prime of his life.
  • Telepathic Resistance:  Due to a combination of his healing factor and psi-shields implanted by Professor Charles Xavier, Wolverine's mind is highly resistant to telepathic assault and probing.
  • Superhuman Strength: His natural strength is augmented by the demand placed on his musculature due to the presence of over 50kg/100 pounds of Adamantium bonded to his skeleton, which also removes the natural limitations of the human skeletal structure by allowing him to lift weights that would damage a human skeleton. Wolverine has been depicted with sufficient strength to break steel chains , support the weight of a dozen men with one arm and lift the 450kg/955 lb. Ursa Major over his head before tossing him across a room. Wolverine's strength is enough to allow him to press just about 2 tons.
  • Peak Human Speed: Wolverine is capable of running and moving faster than any Olympic-class runner, enabling him to run at speeds of 32-36 mph.  Wolverine has attacked faster than the eye could follow and even Spider-Man briefly thought Wolverine was faster than he was in their first fight.  His combat speed seems to have been more enhanced than anything else, as he has frequently kept up with Spider-Man in combat, and blitzed people before they pull their trigger fingers.
  • Superhuman Durability: Wolverine's bones and muscles are harder and denser than that of an ordinary human.  Due to his healing factor and Adamantium skeleton, he can virtually heal from any injuries that result in massive tissue damage or loss such as multiple gunshots wounds, slashes, puncture wounds, blunt force trauma, etc.
  • Superhuman Stamina: Wolverine's healing factor grants him superhuman stamina and is partially immune to fatigue toxins generated by physical exertion and thus has greater endurance than actual humans.  He is able to physically exert himself at peak capacity for several days before fatigue toxins in his blood begin to impair him.  He has shown himself capable of fighting Omega Red for at least 17 hours without any rest, despite he was exposed to Omega Red's death spores.  His lung capacity is at the superhuman level enabling him to hold his breath for extended periods of time underwater and on multiple occasions he was able to fight against the Hulk underwater for long periods of time.
  • Superhuman Agility: Wolverine's agility, balance and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels far beyond the natural physical limits and capabilities of the finest human specimen.   Wolverine's agility is sufficient to allow him to dodge multiple bullets. Other times, he is able to jump nearly 30 ft. high without a running start.
  • Superhuman Reflexes: Wolverine's reflexes are similarly enhanced, they are also superior to those possessed by the finest human specimens.  His reflexes are comparable to that of Captain America due to his superhumanly acute senses.  Wolverine was able to dodge from multiple gunmen at close-range, though he relied mostly on his healing factor.  On several occasions, he was able to dodge Cyclops's optic blasts with ease.
  • Insulated Weather Adaptation: Wolverine's body is highly resistant to certain elemental extremes, particularly cold, to the extent that he can sleep nude in subarctic conditions with no apparent injury.
  • Animal Empathy: Wolverine has the ability to sense the emotional state of animals on a basic level such as fear, anger, happiness or pain. He can even communicate with them to make the animal aware of his actions and or his intent.
  • Superhuman Acute Senses: Wolverine possesses superhumanly acute senses that are comparable to those of certain animals. He can see at far greater distances, with perfect clarity, than an ordinary human. He retains this same level of clarity even in near total darkness. His hearing is enhanced in a similar manner, allowing him to detect sounds ordinary humans couldn't hear at a greater distances, enough to hear a teardrop in another room that have thick walls with enough focus. He is able to recognize people and objects by scent, even if they are well hidden. He can track a target by scent, even if the scent has been greatly eroded by time and weather factors, with an extraordinary degree of success. Wolverine can also use his keen sense of smell to detect lies due to chemical changes within a person's scent. These senses stem from, at least partially, his constant cellular regeneration, as are his enhanced physical capabilities.
  • Retractable Bone Claws: Wolverine's skeleton includes six retractable 12-inch long bone claws, three in each arm, that are housed beneath the skin and muscle of his forearms. Wolverine can, at will, release these slightly curved claws through his skin beneath the knuckles on each hand. The skin between the knuckles tears and bleeds, but the blood loss is quickly halted by his healing factor. Wolverine can unsheathe any number of his claws at once, although he must keep his wrists straight at the moment his claws pass from his forearms into his hands. When unsheathed, the claws are entirely within his hands, allowing him to bend his wrists when they are extended. The claws are made of bone, unlike the claws of normal mammals which are made of keratin, and were originally believed to be bionic adamantium implants. Like his son Daken, the bone claws are sharp and dense enough to slice through substances as durable as most metals, wood, and stone.  Wolverine's bone claws are strong enough to easily slice through a sword.
  • Adamantium Immunity: After having his healing factor stripped by a virus, Beast synthesized a drug to counteract the Adamantium poisoning in Logan's system to keep him from dying.  It is unknown if this effect has been retained after Wolverine was resurrected.
  • Master Tactician: Though seemingly brutish, Wolverine is highly intelligent. When Forge monitored Wolverine's vitals during a Danger Room training session, he reported Logan's physical and mental state as "equivalent to an Olympic-level gymnast performing a Gold-medal-winning routine whilst simultaneously beating four chess computers in his head", which gives something of an idea of the level of sophistication and tactical processing Logan is capable of utilizing while in combat. He remembers Ogun teaching him Sun Tzu's The Art of War.
  • Master Martial Artist: Due to his extensive training as a soldier, a CIA operative, a samurai and a member of the X-Men, Logan is an exceptional martial artist, with expertise in Japanese martial arts, and has mastered 15 forms of martial arts. His extraordinary hand-to-hand combat ability makes him one of the finest combatants on Earth. He was able to keep up with both the Black Panther and the Iron Fist, both expert martial artists. He has also defeated various hand-to-hand experts without using his claws.  Wolverine defeated Sabretooth several times in hand to hand combat and intelligence.  He even has taught the Black Widow, Rogue, Storm, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Primal, Sunspot, Armor, Jubilee, Rachel Summers, Phoebe Cuckoo, and Shadowcat in hand to hand combat.
  • Expert Marksman: He is an expert marksman skilled in throwing weapons and firearms, but operates more efficiently without them.
  • Expert Swordsman: Logan is proficient in Japanese sword fighting having studied under Ogun.
  • Skilled Acrobat: He is skilled in gymnastics, acrobatics and aerials, but is not on the same scale as other fighters such as Captain America and Daredevil.
  • Master Advanced Covert Ops: Due to his experience traveling the world and working for various government agencies, Wolverine is also a trained expert in multiple types of weapons, vehicles, computer systems, explosives, and assassination techniques. In the Weapon X comic he said: I can put six shots into a quarter... an' get change for the gum-machine.
  • Skilled Mechanic: Along with Kurt Wagner (Nightcrawler), Wolverine has also been the mechanic of the X-Men's Blackbird jet for a long time.
  • Multi-lingual: A polyglot; Wolverine is fluent in many languages including English, Arabic, Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Cheyenne, Lakota, and Spanish; he has some knowledge of French, German, Thai, Vietnamese, Farsi and Portuguese. Ogun taught him Japanese ideograms.  With his increased lifespan and journeys across the globe, he has been able to amass an intimate knowledge of many foreign customs and cultures. Once he saw a kabuki play of The 47 Ronin (Genroku Ch?shingura) and remarked how it was one of the finest kabuki troupes he had seen. His exploits have further endowed him with vast awareness of literature and philosophy.
  • Adamantium: Not part of Wolverine's natural mutant attributes, Wolverine's entire skeleton, including his bone claws, were laced with the rare, artificial, and virtually indestructible metal alloy known as Adamantium - or True Adamantium. As a result, Wolverine's bones is virtually unbreakable.  The presence of the Adamantium has further enhanced the already razor-sharp edge of Wolverine's bone claws. Aside from being practically indestructible, the claws are capable of cutting through any solid material, with the known exception of Proto-Adamantium (Captain America's Shield). However, Wolverine's ability to slice completely through a substance depends upon the thickness of the substance and the amount of force he can exert. The Adamantium also weighted his blows, dramatically increasing the effectiveness of his punches and kicks. His claws are able to damage Class 100+ durability foes such as the Thing. His Adamantium claws has been shown to easily penetrate Thanos' chest.
  • Adamantium Beta: Adamantium Beta is a metal that can bond to the human skeleton.  The properties of Adamantium Beta is capable of bonding directly into the structure of skeletal material while not inhibiting the living nature of the bone.  The only known occurrence of Adamantium Beta was during the Weapon X Project when it was experimented on Wolverine.  During the second part of the procedure, they laced his bones with Adamantium, and there was a reaction with his healing factor that bonded the metal with his skeleton.  As a result from Dr. Jaime Munoz's research, the Adamantium itself can regrow just as Wolverine's natural bones can.

D'Vorah

Real Name: D'Vorah

First Appearance: Mortal Kombat X (April 7, 2015)

Backstory: D'Vorah is a Kytinn, a species of colonial insects living inside humanoid bodies. Hailing from the Arnyek Islands, D'Vorah's realm was conquered by Shao Kahn and she chose to serve the emperor to avoid becoming a slave. Rising in political power, D'Vorah now serves Kotal Kahn as his second in command and closest advisor, assisting him in the civil war against Mileena.

Here are her powers, abilities, and skills:

  •  D'Vorah's insect affinity gives her control over several different types of large bugs and winged insects. She can use the bugs for a variety of purposes, from offensive attacks to even sealing wounds. Her natural extra limbs give her lethal pincers to use in combat and allow her to fly to a degree. D'Vorah is also one of the few, if not the only character to have a regeneration factor as shown in the comics, she was able to reform from a swarm of insects after being torn in half by a possessed Reiko.  \

Battle Breakdown:  This is going to be fierce battle ladies and gents.  This two characters are fierce and formidable fighting skills and tenacity.  They also have an ability to regenerate from injuries.  I'd say this battle is going to push their regenerative abilities to the limit.

And as always, let me know what you guys think.  Who takes this fight?  Wolverine or D'Vorah?

Enjoy this fight people.  PEACE!
