I notice that you look at reviews to get a gauge and understand of the flaws and bright spots of a new game. Seeing the game length, framerate, story, potential bugs etc., do you feel this endangers your true experience of a first playthrough?

I say this because I feel reading reviews would hammer in my head preconceived strengths and weaknesses of said game that I would be unable to disengage from when playing the aforementioned title.

Do you feel it's best to read these reviews and take their game scores and articles seriously or if you are interested in a game due to trust in developers/series or whatever reason to dive in headfirst with no knowledge whatsoever?

Hey Phil, first off I hope you and your fans are having a very Happy Thanksgiving, and I'm thankful for the years of content you've given us.

Now, my question has to do with the presence of dark, serious, real life issues in video games, especially war games. What I mean is the inclusion of dark, heavy, and sometimes depressing subject in video games. Stuff White Phosphorus scene in Spec Ops: The Line and "No Russian" in Modern Warfare 2 spring to mind. This can sometimes be a controversial issue, with the mainstream media often critizing the game devs and writers for the inclusion of such scenes. I believe scenes like these have a place in video games under the condition that it carries the story to an important and meaningful place. What are your thoughts?

Hi Philip. As you're aging do you notice that your gaming skills deteriorate any? I know I read that even after age 25 some motor skills and vision start going downhill. You're a few years older than me and I know you used to be a top level professional fighting game player. Do you still think you are as good as you were back then physically?

Dear Phil,

I really like your commentary on many video games. You give many creative comments on the various aspects of a particular game. My question to you is: Would you commentate over movies? You could hold polls on the kingofhate forums, determining which movies people want to hear you commentate over the most. You could then record your commentary on whichever movie wins the poll. Then, you could render the commentary as an audio-only, mp3 file and sell it on a new website. Think about the way you sell your content via Teespring. The website does not have to be overly sophisticated. All you need is a website that allows you to upload mp3 files and receive direct payments from those who purchase them. This could lead to a lucrative business that would provide extra income.

Thank you for reading this question.

Dear Phil,

You used to be skinny as a kid. You once disclosed to your Twitch Audience that you used to work out tremendously, by taking protein shakes and lifting very heavy weights. I remember your saying that your first back injury occurred in 2007, during a game of football. You also watch Pro Wrestling. What was your athletic career like pre-2007? Did you play any sports in school? Which sports were you best at and/or enjoyed playing the most? Do you play any sports right now? If not, would you ever consider playing a sport again recreationally?

Thank you for your time.

Hey phil, longtime viewer but new to the forum side of things, my question is this.

When returning from your wedding in April, you had said that you had spoken to your mom and she had suggested that you have a 10 year plan to transition away from full time streaming;

Are you still on track to transitioning slowly away from streaming to seek employment/retirement primarily away from a streamer job?

All of us fans have enjoyed your content immensely over the last decade, but we are concerned about your health and happiness being jeopardized by your hard work ethic and heavy work schedules.

I hope you and your family have a happy thanksgiving,

Rocks4Doggo

Second question:

I have noticed that with your streams growing in popularity, (including an increase in views, subs and contributions) your streams tips goal still remains the same as it was last Christmas during the taxes fund raising goals.

Seeing that you hit the tips goal during most streams for the past while, why not consider raising the tips goal to an amount that grows along with your channel?
(I.e. a tips goal of 150-250 for streams during the month of November.)

Doing something like this could help contributors feel like their contributions are going to something important as well as generate you some extra revenue for you to put towards other expenses. (Taxes, an extra day off to spend with your wife, etc.)

I hope you have a good thanksgiving phil, Kat and Jasper!

Hey Phil,

Love your content and always appreciate your streams! Something I always wondered about...when you play online competitive games like Street Fighter, Call of Duty, etc. you seem like you always have a reason why you lost a match or were killed by another player. I don’t mean this in a way to put you down because I honestly love watching your content, but do you honestly mean half the stuff you say during these gameplays or is it just an act because you know people like to see you rage? For example, you may blame lag, abusing a certain cheap mechanic, spamming a move, your controller not working properly, or camping just to name a few....sometimes you will say “good game” but it seems far and few between.

Also, I love how you have been stepping away from your comfort zone and tried playing some sports games recently. Here’s hoping for some NBA2K in the future! Happy thanksgiving brother!

Hello, Phil hope your good man I wanted to ask have you seen a surge in your audience ,after the quartering interview, because I was one of those people that did not know you much about your story well until you did it. I wanted to say love your interactive stream style is something that has meaning for us your fans rooting for your success as a content creator.

Also, what your opinion on the absurb growth of the sjw and woke culture on games and other types of media? Like for example the attack on the joker, mandalorian,  and the crearion of a gender free controller of Google stadia?

Happy Thanksgiving to and your family!

Lately it has been very difficult for me to make it to streams, so I have been watching some of your older playthroughs. Correct me if I am wrong but it seems that you currently do a lot less improv comedy than back then. Not just “non-pc” material but I mean general comedic material. Was this change deliberate, or just a natural evolution over time going from YouTube to streaming?

How do you deal with adversity, stress, and negative issues impacting you? Furthermore, how do you come to a stream and “perform” without letting it show that you are dealing with stress behind the scenes? Any tips on dealing with difficult times, staying positive, and not letting it effect your work?

Hey Phil.

1. Worst case scenario, if YouTube goes full steam ahead with COPPA and demonetizing content, will you focus more on providing Patreon perks?

2. How would you change Twitch's video archives structure so that it could compete more with YouTube?

Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello Philip! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

Recently got a Playstation Portable series 3000 and I've been playing Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 2 - Innocent Sin. It's a lot of fun and very chill. I like the story a lot and the gameplay remains as good as the later entries in the series. When Kat was on your stream she said she was playing Persona 5, did she finish it? Did you ever play any other Shin Megami Tensei or Persona games other than Persona 4 and Persona 5? They seem really interesting if you're a fan of the Japanese culture like myself.

Hey Phil! it's Derich, Happy Thanksgiving today to you and your family! I had my Canadian Thanksgiving in October.

Here's my question: Speaking of Thanksgiving, What did you do for Thanksgiving when you were a kid? any special Thanksigiving traditions with your family? Also, I want to know: What is your favourite way to give back and help others, and who are you thankful for too?

Have a great Thanksgiving Phil with Jasper, and Kat!
