That's interesting if he plays it, I like some of the characters' designs for starters. Just hope he doesn't get the cliché, big guy, heavy hitter like almost always.

Lol! Yeah.

Everybody seems to think he's some fighting game god, which has never been true. There was a time in his past where he was a professional SSF2T player and went to tournaments. Despite leaving that scene, people still act like he should be amazing at fighting games over a decade later.

100%. He only plays Street fighter once a week and only for 2 hours. Years ago he play it everyday for way more hours so definitely not at his best atm. Also lag affects fighting games more than any other genres because of precise timing. There are a lot of 1 -2 frame combos, which is 1/60th pr 1/30 of a second.

I mean back when he was doing it competitive, there was no online. You went to arcades.

I doubt he'll ever get back into the competitive scene at this point. He doesn't have the time investment to play the game 2000 hours a week.

Yeah true.

But Darkstalkers, Capcom vs Snk 1 Millenium Fight 2000, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo X Grand Master Challenge, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Powerstone 2, Capcom vs. SNK 2, and a few other fighting games, were online on the sega dreamcast, long before that PS2 DVD player was even released. There were even lobbies and stuff. Those Japanese were really lucky.

Sadly, not many people outside of Japan, were that lucky, to experience fighting games online back then. Good thing I stuck with dreamcast over PS2. I wish SoulCalibur 1 on the dreamcast was online, because SoulCalibur 2 and the later entries sucked.

Oh, and there was seldom lag, when playing online. No joke dudes. Hardly any lag back in 1998 to 2003, for dreamcast fighting games. But yet, we have had online lag for the past 18 years, for crappy nerfed down fighting games on Sony, Microsoft and nintendo consoles. Lol!

Maybe that is because, Japan is a more organised country technologically. But still, it really makes you wonder, when it comes to online, are we going forward, or backward? Lol!
