Also Tomb Raider wanted to be console exclusive on the console that lost this gen's console war. Coz logic

The exclusivity was probably secured well before they could see how the war would pan out. Anyway, MS probably just threw a lot of exclusivity money their way. Phil Spencer directly said they were looking to offer something that could compete with Uncharted.

Speaking of Uncharted, have you heard that they're not including Doughnut Drake in Uncharted 4?

I didn't so thanks for the heads-up.

It's a little disappointing that they left the tradition behind, but in the end it's just a fun extra, so I'll live with it as long as the rest of the game's good.

And that killed the game and got people fired xD

Edge of Tomorrow is getting a sequel. Strange. With the same characters and same premise? Not sure how that would work.

They didn't really delve into the origin of the Mimics the same way they did in the light novel, but still... I can't imagine how they'll shake the feeling of this being a contrived sequel. I predict disaster.

i finished Zombi PS4, and i am going to give the game a... hmm let's see a 6.8 out of 10. will replay it one last time in October on only 1 death mode.

Decimal point scores for game reviews make me gag (fuck you, IGN). When you think about it, they're likely redundant. What makes a game a 6.8 and not a 6.9? Is that really a difference you can articulate clearly, or would it do just as well to round it up to a 7?

Better reviewers use a more concrete scale, like whole numbers or stars. Using no numbers/symbols at all is also better, maybe the best approach ultimately, and perhaps more respectful to the content of the review itself. But I'll grant that this makes the job of the review aggregate harder, and sometimes the reader doesn't have a lot of time--they're just looking to skim and get the quick and easy numbers.

I totally agree but keep in mind Phil does decimal points too...he takes it even further and does it by the hundredths
(8.75 out of 10, 7.25 out of 10)
And i asked frequently in the comment section what was the difference from a 8.75 and 8.8 and my comment always got deleted...

Those comments didn't deserve to be deleted. I've said the same thing, Phil really needs to update his review scale. No one does it with hundredths, and for good reason.

There was even a widely discussed topic about it:

Time for another round of one sentence reviews.

X-Men: Days of Future Past - Surprisingly worth watching, there was one stand-out moment involving Young Xavier being encouraged by the Older Xavier, I enjoyed the idea of your older self giving your younger self some perspective.

Experimenter - A film definitely worth checking out if you have any interest in social psych, it's about Stanley Milgram's important obedience to authority experiments, and also includes Jim Gaffigan for laughs.

Crash Reel - I'm not a sports guy at all but this was an interesting film about snowboarder Kevin Pearce's traumatic brain injury, and it makes you wonder if the sports industry is being irresponsible with its encouragement of riskier and riskier stunts so that people can be entertained.

Off work for the day so it's back to Dark souls 3, just suffered my first death to the hands of the second boss. I've shamed my family.

Spoiler

Beat him on the second try, he wasn't too tough once you understand his pattern and don't try to tank all his hits like I did.

Made some nice progress in DS3, anyone else playing through it?

Minor spoilers:

Spoiler

Beat the second boss(second try) and pretty much cleared out the first couple of areas before moving on to the undead town. Spent several hours exploring everything there, and just killed the giant tree boss(took two tries). Now I'm stuck and haven't the slightest idea where to go, I found a sewer but it just linked me to another area I had already been.

well Doug Liman is doing the sequel and if Tom Cruise wants to do it again im down I loved Edge of Tomorrow they said they didn't want to do this if Doug didn't come back and plus its not being filmed for a while since Cruise is filming Mission: Impossible 6 this fall with Christopher Mquaire

I wonder how Satelar and MDC feel about this video:

I didn't mind it, it is his opinion i do agree with him that Batman v Superman is just visual explosion and thats what basically what it was besides the best parts of the movie being Ben Affleck's Batman I'd rather have talking in the movie then just alot of action until its needed (That it what im hearing out of Civil War, that every characer gets their moment to shine) but either way his opinion

so in other news this fuckface is still trying to be relevant

If you don't know who he is he is the man who hates Superhero movies or anything comic related  here is his track record

  • Tried to ruin X-Men (2000) by cutting down budget and moving the release date from November 2000 to May 2000.
  • - X2's budget get cut down too.
  • - Said no to Alien 5 by James Cameron and Ridley Scott because "We have a good script for AVP."
  • - Burton's Planet of the Apes remake being rushed into production. Which resulted Burton's comment "I'd rather jump out of a window than do Planet of the Apes 2."

*The mismanagement of the production for "X-Men 3". For instance:

  • **Not waiting for Bryan Singer to finish working on "Superman Returns", and not having a replacement director until I believe weeks before filming was due to start. And when a director is finally hired, it's Brett Ratner, who has grown a reputation for being a hack, douchbag, MTV music video, action director.
  • **Not waiting for several actors (e.g. James Marsden, Rebecca Romjin, and Anna Paquin) to take care of prior engagements before filming. For in the process, certain characters were "killed off" as a matter of convinence.
  • **Seemingly rushing the production as means of retailiating against Bryan Singer for heading off to make "Superman Returns" (which also opened in the summer of 2006).
  • **Tom Rothman also allegedly didn't want Sentinels (the gigantic, mutant hunting robots) appearing in an X-Men film because he believed that audiences would immediately think that giant robots appearing in live-action would be too "silly". This was of course, before "Transformers" (a movie for which Tom Rothman allegedly turned down) came out.
  • *Ordering Ridley Scott to edit his movie "Kingdom of Heaven" to make it look like a more formulaic action-adventure film, when Scott intended for it to be much deeper.
  • *Editing "Die Hard 4" to make it a PG-13 film even though the previous three, had been R-rated. This pretty much meant that Bruce Willis couldn't say John McClaine's trademark "Yippie-ki-ya, mother ****er!" line as it was fully intended.
  • *Having "Daredevil" edited to make it appear more like a summer blockbuster (i.e. more CGI) in the mode of "Spider-Man". "Daredevil" was initially conceived as a more violent, R-rated film in the mold of Frank Miller's run with the comics.
  • *Not giving the "Fantastic Four" films a better budget, to go along with hirining Tim Story (who is primarily known as a comedic director rather than a sci-fi, action-adventure director) and aiming for a campy, cookie-cutter, sitcomy feel. Rothman also allegedly thought that it would be better for us to see Galactus as a cloud.
  • *Trashing plans for an "ID4" sequel.
  • *Browbeating "LXG" director Stephen Norrington until he quit the business altogether. Rothman also allegedly almost convinced "I, Robot" director Alex Proyas to give up filmmaking.(Until Gods of Egypt should of stayed retired)
  • screwed with the edit with HITMAN, firing then-director Xavier Gans and went back to reshoot certain scenes with a new director.
  • Saying Deadpool should have no mouth..... yep
  • and whenver he was finally fired he gave one last thing as Chief order Production of Fantastic Four (2015)

Now he is at Sony now he can't touch Spider-Man since Kevin Feige and Marvel basically said fuck you if you want money let us do our Job cause Disney is destroying Sony with Quality lol, but there have been a few Movies announced like the Venom Solo movie (Thats not in the MCU or has Spider-Man at all), The Emoji Movie, and MIB 23 (The Men if Black/ 23 Jump Street crossover with no Phil Lord and Chris Miller). pretty sure The Ghostbusters remake reboot piece of crap was his idea too

so can anyone pull up the games i said i would play, i can't seem to find them.

This kind of task is Easy Modo. Are you sure you'll be able to handle Very Hard mode, son? Type "god of war infamous" in the search box and you'll be able to find that post easily.

Wow thats alot of terrible things he did lol... I'm more sad that we could have had an amazing daredevil movie instead of the shit we got back in 2003.
